connect the two positives from the subs together than to the amp. same with the negatives.

basically you twist the matching wires of the sub together and then connect the singles to the amp

waaait wait wait, first, what is the lowest ohm load can the amp handle?

second, are the subs dual 4 ohm, single 4 ohm, dual 2 ohm, single 2 ohm, 8 ohm??

you cant just hook subs up and let them play, stuff starts on fire like that.

After answering those two questions, you then use one of these diagrams to hook up the subs:

you want to run the amp at the lowest ohm load its capable of for best results.

i dont know ,the amp is a kenwood KAC-81520. I cant find the specs on it,all i know is its 1500 watts rms but know idea about the lowest ohn load. the speakers are the alpine Type-R SWR-1242Ds. They are dual voice coil 4 ohm speakers. anyone know the specs of the amp though?

appears to be 2 ohm stable, so if u got two dual 4 ohm subs u wanna wire like so:

http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/graphics/infolib/carlib/subs/2_4ohmDVC_4ohm.gif

your amp wont be running at full power but it will sound good nonetheless, its your only option, do NOT wire down to 1 ohm

ok so if i hook it up that way the amp will only be pushin out the 300w rms right?

????

that makes no sense at all...

but anyway, yea you would be putting out 300 watts at 4 ohms.
