Installing new brake pads

Is this hard, could I change them myself?

it shouldn't be too hard to do. just make sure to find some directions and read them carefully, making sure that u can everything and have all the proper tools

It's easy as hell. There should only be two bolts that hold the caliper on, take that bad boy off, slip in your new pads, and voala, new pads!!

I have done the brakes in my Galant
1997 ES 3 times. It is pretty
simple. Dammit I cant remember a
thing about how I did it right
now lol sorry. But I had done 3 or 4 sets
of brakes in High School and maybe 1 or 2
since then and my Galant was pretty
easy. My 2 cents

The most difficult setup I've ever seen is on a '88-'89 323 GTX. But since there's a sum total of 3000 of those, chances are you'll never see one (my old boss had 3...) After that, a full size rear drive truck/van is the worst and even that takes an hour tops. I did the Galant's brakes in my driveway using only a simple floor jack and hand tools in just under 20 min. Once you see it, it becomes painfully obvious how to do it. The only tricky part is that you also have to remove the caliper bracket if you're changing the rotors (which you should do every pad change) Otherwise, a 17 mm socket, ratchet, 21 mm socket, and a torque wrench should have you covered.
