While I was taking off my door panels with the help of pinoyesv6's great tutorial - click here (http://www.k-lanandreajoy.net/Tutorials/DoorPanel/) - I had to take apart my tweeter pods in my GTZ. So here's a quick tutorial for those that don't know how.

Step 1 - Open the door and take a minute to reflect on what you are doing...

THIS IS FOR REFERENCE ONLY. I, TGC, NOR ANYONE ELSE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY NEGATIVE CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR ACTIONS.

Step 1 cont; - Pull off the cover. Pull gently from the bottom and it will pop right off.

Step 2 - Take off the two nuts.

Step 3 - Pull off the tweeter, disconnect the plug, and then pull upwards on the plastic piece.

Thats it. From here you can change your side view mirrors (just take off the third nut), take off the door panels to change out your speakers or hide your porno mags inside the door

To put everything back on, read this tutorial backwards.

I wonder could an aftermarket tweeter fit that bracket

Depends on the size. I've put rockfords in with that bracket, polks I've just hot glued to the inside of the cover. About the biggest you can easily fit is a 1.2 inch tweeter.

Got Pioneer's in mine, one of which already seems to be blown, making that crackling noise

the premium sound system wasn't available for the DE but it was optional for the ES. the LS and the GTZ had them standard.

Does anyone no if there is enough wire on the back of the stock tweeters to add more? or do you need to plug it in. Another words I want to get the stock tweets but my car didn't come with them so I don't have the plug. Does this even make sense to anyone if so any help would be great thanks!!! I can't tell by the pics

If your car didn't come with them stock, the I doubt there are any wires there to begin with. You can splice in and run some wires up from the speaker at the bottom of the door.
