I did my 5 speed swap but now I have a rough idle. I completely removed the auto trans computer. I was wondering how many have had this problem after doing the swap and removing the computer. Also If I missed something but I doubt it is if the only electrical changes are you have to connect the 2 black wires to start the car and wire in the reverse light switch right?

define rough idle?

is it surgine up and down. or is it just a shitty flat idle.

ftry changing yoru spark plugs, and checking yoru base ignition timing.

Yah thats the only wiring you should have to do. I didnt even remove the Auto ECU. Its still in its place and wired up, but I dont think that will cause issues with an idle. Did you forget to plug in the IAC?

breaking up at idle so would say its missing. It isn't surgine at all. I am going to give the ecu some time to reset because I disconnected the battery and hope it levels out.

Dude plug back in your TCU and see how it runs. I just finished my swap, what i'll do is remove my TCU also and see what happens. Let you know. Oh ya and since you not A/T anymore your muffler is gonna sound a lil different.

Funny you say that because the muffler does sound alittle more aggressive and the trubo seems to spool alittle quicker.

Btw guys I'm loving it. I didn't realize how much power the auto trans was robbing. Couldn't help myself today and lauched the car at 4k :D it felt like a whole other animal.
