I have in my posession a set of nology hotwires for the 6G72. nobody to my knowledge has recently posted about such product. On an almost completely stock motor (sri, tb spacer - no aft mark coil, etc), what do any of you see as far as performance given you know anything about the product. I know that most if not all aftermarket ignition sets will have no performance gains except for what is lost due to worn plugs/wires, but nology hotwires differ from most if not all aftermarket sets. i do plan on using non-resistor type plugs if they are available.

P.S. : This set does have ground wires for noise suppression.

You will not get any benefit from using aftermarket spark plug wires... none whatsoever. Even if you're boosted, you probably won't see but 1-2 WHP.

yes, i am well aware of this but i am wondering if anyone has had any experience with nology hotwires since they do differ from any other aftermarket ingnition since they have capacitors, etc. Just wondering if these are any diff. Im installing my set this weekend anyway so i will let everyone know.

People over at Club3g.com seem to think that the Nology Hotwires cause horsepower loss because of delayed ignition:

The concensus around here is stay away from them. Get NGK or Magnacors better and cheaper

Id stay away from them...Ive seen alot of people use them over the years and they get rid of them because they will eventually arc. Never had any problems with the Magnecor or NGK.
