:?: Anyone know how much a 2001 LS V6 Galant weighs?
:?: Also how much HP does that stock 3.0 have?
I'm really surprised at how quick this car is.
Thanks

195 HP

On average the V6 runs 16.5 seconds in the quarter mile. I believe Mitsubishi setup the engine and gearing to emulate the seat of your pants feeling. In truth its actually quite slow.

Thanks, Jet Black. I thought it seemed stronger than 195HP, but 3252lb is pretty light for a V6. That's just 500 lbs heavier than my P5.

Its fat and heavy and could do with reducing the weight quite readily.

Its not so much heavy as the auto´s gearing sucks sloppy donkey balls.

What's the meaning of the fed spec?

look at the exhaust manifold. if you have something that looks like headers, fed spec. if you have a pile of mashed potatoes with a wire going into it, cali spec.

fed spec = meets federal emissions standards
cali spec = meets cali's stricter emissions standards

They conerace pretty well

I have a 2001 neither emissions standards, it has totally different precats and aftercats then what was supposed to be on it, the dealer has to special order all those parts. Its kinda like the ´79 mustang with the inline 6, they made them, but they werent supposed to.
