View Full Version : Double Din HU's

Who here has double din HU's like the pionerr avic d1 and units like those? I am looking for pictures of members who have them on their 8g. I have a carputer and my 7" touchscreen in custom molded into the bezel. In the bezel also is a dvd/cdrw drive but unfortunately i cant get it to work externaly since it is a laptop drive and it is being gay lol. It works fine inside the house some reason.

But any yeah the reason why i ask is because Infill has just come out with one of there new products-- called the Infill G4. It is a double din unit but what is cool about it is that it is also a full blown computer as well. It has a dvd/cdrw built in, radio built in and all of the functionality of a HU and Carpc. I was thinking cuz I could sell my original screen and dvd drive and I also have to carPC setup that would easily cover the cost of the Infill G4.

Just wanted to see how the dbl din setups look in our G's.

That looks good. the infill g4 is black also, i might just end up painting may interior trim pieces black to make it blend in better

Yea I'm going to change it 2 black also. It looks good but I think I will like black better.

yea i think so to.. quick question, did you have to buy a double din kit to install it? How did you mount it?

Well I believe the shop used a double din kit behind but honestly I'm not sure. I can find out for you though.

i had an eclipse 2454 looked great and i had it in black... cntrylvr made my bezel using the trim ring, worked fine

There is no double din bezel for an 8g you're looking at a fair amount of work to mold the dash to fit a double din.

BTW I have a D1 in my g, no pix anymore though since I still haven't finished my newest bezel....

on the inside of the bezel there was a trim ring inside looked to be that of a d1 im guessing? since thats what you had lol
