I am going to be powering 2 12" subs both with a 1000w max rating and DVC . I was wanting to go 2 channel but they seem to be more money. I am wondering how big a mono amp would need to be to push the subs I am looking for good bass at the cheapest price. :? :? :? :?

Mono's tend to be more expensive actually. If you have 2-DVC subs also you would have to find a 1-2 Ohm stable amp which is more expensive. A 2 channel amp rated for 300-400 watts each channel would be ideal. How much you lookin to spend? It depends on what type of subs you have too and the RMS wattage, not the peak wattage they are rated for. Some more info would be helpful.

that should do it

basically what you are looking for is a 1000 watt, 1-ohm stable amplifier to power those

Then wire both subs like this to the amp (crutchfield didnt have a 1-ohm diagram since its rare)

When you wire both subs like this it will give you a 1 ohm load, pushing the amp to max capability

Legacy is garbage.... you must be on a tight budget?

If so I recommend:

I got a Lanzar amp, working pretty well

With this amp you have two options: wiring each sub to its own channel at 2 ohms per channel and get 400 RMS watts to each sub:

Or you can wire both subs together at 4 ohms NOT 1 OHM and bridge the amp to make 1000 watts max:

You would be fine with 4 awg. complete sets with fuse and holder/connectors are on ebay for cheap. Best place to get all the stuff in one package.

Yep. Just dont buy from eBay users named Judysdeals or cmttrading, they usually have the cheapest 4 gauge kits but most likely it will never show up, or it will arrive in a month and a half

You don't want the cheapest kits on there. But there are real reasonable packages. You can tell by just going through them which ones are cheap cheap vs. just cheap ones. Always look at ebay feedbacks and quantity of business they do.
