Now before all you guys say SEARCH FIRST! I have. I saw the tutorial Reelax made. But that is just too god damn confusing and complicated as far as the wiring goes. My question is, cant i just splice the wires for the heads, and connect them to the JDM wiring harness? And the same as for the sidemarkers?

Can anyone identify the positive, negative, ground wire here?

the USDM side markers fits perfect without modification so you can use them.

Left side headlight= you have three wires orange/blue, black, and yellow/red... black is the ground, orange/blue is the Low beam and the yellow/red is the high beam

Right side headlight=you have three wires black, white/red, and green/red... Black is the ground, white/red is the Low beam and green/red for the high beam.

each side just tap some wires to the ground wire "Black" coz you need 2 of them one for the high beam and one for the low beam.

I know the black is ground. But what about the other two?

i thought my tutorial was written simply enough? the hard part is the diode or relay trick (even though that is pretty simple too)... u will understand why you need to do that stuff soon enough when u try to use your high beams. good luck.

what about wiring in the city lights?

wiring the city lights is easy just tap it on the sidemarkers wires.

by the way any one here know what's the bulb size for the JDM city lights?

mmmm.... i didn't use that my JDM headlights comes with the harness.

i just cut the USDM harness and tap the wire on black wire.

What would happene if i dont do the diode/relay trick? Will the headlights not work properly? I was thinking i could just splice the wires and connect them to the heads.

if you wire them +to+ and -to- from USDM to JDM you will be fine... except that your low beams will turn off when you turn on your hi beams because of the OE H4 wiring scheme (2 filaments on in one bulb for extended periods would melt something or blow the bulb). the diode/relay trick corrects this for the JDM dual bulb setup and lets you run low for normal and low+hi simultaneously, for hi beam.

relay (http://www.autotoys.com/x/catalog/RELAY_30_AMP_SPDT_RELAY__WITH_HARNESS_p_319.html) im assuming this would work just fine?

This is a brand new JDM wiring harness for the headlights. Trigger was able to send me brand new harnesses as compared to used ones. Would anyone be able to clarify these three wires for me (Neg, Pos, Grnd)? Im planning to tackle this project today while my bumper is being painted.

shove a bulb into the socket then walk over to the car battery.

connect the black to ground (negative).

connect the red to the positive

observe light.

disconnect the red and connect the white to the positive

observe light.

compare the light output between red and white. that should solve your problem.
