^ nope, it's really high quality vynl. Cheap chrome paint you get at "Vato-zone" rubs off during time and looks fake even up close. And it's not the so called cheap vynl you get at Pep Boys either. You see, the cheap ones doesn't have that laminated coating (for protection against debris, rock chips, "clear coat-ish") since it's made for exterior application it's very strong and durable. It's better than the Pep Boys version (compared to the price lol); however, since it's having problems molding to the actual shape, I've added super glue gel around the edges to keep the shape from shagging. I'm gonna teach Rez887 how to do this this weekend so he can can sell on his future FS threads.... :smt096

I think he was refering to the $3.95 can you get at auto store. The Chrome paint you specify, which, cost $120+ is actually good, is better for the buck compared to the actual chrome platting which may cost you hundreds of dollars per set*** (see source below). Good vynl requires 4 X 2 feet which gets you around $15-20 depending where you get it from. Add $7 for gel glue, spray can 3M super 77 adhesive, and a couple of razor blades, and you're all set to go.

***Jscout247 spent $400 on 4 door trims, radio bezel, and the shift bezel. The valve cover run him $150 and because of the heat it produce, it lasted for two years before another coat. Even if it's chrome plate, the risk of scratching and fading may still occur.

I think the brand is an Avery laminated vynl so it's thicker than the cheap stuff.

that's going to be cruel on a bright day. I learned my lesson on polished interior parts with the polished dash gauge bezel. blinding sometimes.
