evo2 exhaust for which car? for all i remember, greddy doesn't make an exhaust that will bolt onto the 8g galant without modifications of some sort.

I do believe the Greddy evo2 is a full exhaust; not just a catback. And made for the 3g eclipse if we are talking about the same one.

it will bolt on if you do some modifications to the piping.

as far as i know a cat back is the exhaust piping, resonator and muffler after the catalytic converters to the tailpipe... hence cat[alytic] back. cat backs do not include the catalytic converters, downpipe and collector sections (headers). a "full" exhaust DOES include these things and replaces everything from the engine block to the tailpipe. you may be confusing the term "cat back" w/ "axle back" which is just rear most section of a cat back system (some piping and a muffler w/ tip) and does not include a resonator.

btw, since greddy does not make a USDM galant exhaust, whatever greddy system you are asking about will NOT simply bolt on. you will have to make modifications. if it fits a 3G eclipse it will be the closest but you will still need to add about 10" of piping from the axle to the muffler since the galant is longer than the eclipse.

wrong. he's talking about a 3G V6 exhaust system fitting his i4 8G... they are not exactly the same from the cat back... the 8g is longer by about 10"
