I looked on a post recently, and i saw a bid on ebay for an electric superchrager. It supposdly said it gives 20-40 hp, but i doubt it, but since im in dire need of horses, i would be intrested in getting one even if its just 10 hp, does anyone know where i could get one to fit my 2000 galant es?

Personally I dont think they are worth the money. If they gave you 16 hp for that kind of money everyone would be getting them!!

The electric "supercharger" is a joke! It like that Tornado thing where it can give you 30+HP.....

The tornado thing wasn't supposet o give you 30+ horses. It was like, 5-15. I think.... But not 30... (if were talking about the same thing here. The gismo that you put in your intake that makes the air swirl)

Has anybody tried one from electricsupercharger.com? Do you have to hit a button to activate it like nitrous or does it just come on at full throttle?

I was reading up on it, and it said that you have to install a switch under the dash, similiar to the one's you use for nitrous. But i dont have one, so im not really, sure. Im just going by what the article said.

Interesting proposition... I wonder about the HIGH current draw though... would it over tax your electricals? 50 amps it a lot of current!

just a thought...

The one from electricsupercharger.com uses a switch on your throttle linkage like the ZEX nitrous kit with a relay. As far as the current draw, it draws right from your battery like your starter motor, so the current draw is only momentary to get the fan up to speed. Just keep in mind that your engine pumps about 400CFM of air when it's at WOT. So these cheap fans that pump only 200CFM will actually restrict your airflow, or cause the fan to spin faster than it's designed to. Eventually parts can break off and get sucked in your intake. The one from electricsupercharger.com supposedly pumps 700CFM, but at $299 it still seems a lot of money for a small performance gain IMHO.
