Something just started making the worst sound ive ever heard coming from my engine bay, it gets worse when the rpms are lower and vibrating the car, it goes away when i keep the car steady at about 1000 rpms (maybe a little more), but if i push the gas harder for a sec and release its so terrible, it sounds like metal on metal, please help

i had my mechanic check it out, and it was the flywheel and the bolts on it were loose, thank god he fixed it, i woulda never guessed what it was and i probably would have crashed the car on purpose, although it cost me money i dont have to spend, it was worth it
