Well today my dad and I fixed the leaking valve cover gasket, put in some new Autolite spark plugs, and changed the oil in the Galant. The valve cover was caked with oil, it looked horrible. We just did a quick job on it because time was limited, but I cleaned the valve cover up and it looks 100 times better now. The Champion spark plugs that were in it were crap, I've never liked Champion. Next on the list is some NGK plug wires.

Thats not an upside down OIL cap, its just a factory 710 cap which is actually better then the regular OIL cap.

Whenever I think of Champion spark plugs I think of The home depot and lawn mowers and weed eaters! :lol:

The damn RTV will get cut off with a razor, it's not a big friggin' deal people. It's not like I really care anyways, the Galant is just my daily driver, I have two other cars that have much more potential to be fast. And yes, a Saturn can be fast.

that white paint job looks clean! now alls you need is a drop and some rims...but nice clean G though. I smell potential.

what are your plans for the G? You planning on doing any mods to it? i think you should drop it first and then some tints after that. those are some cheap mods and really clean up the look or ur car.

Not many plans for the Galant. Maybe intake, header, exhaust, SAFC tune at the most. As far as appearance, probably just lowered, rims, and window tint like you said.

EDIT: Oh, and probably painting the woodgrain stuff on the interior white. I can't stand woodgrain!!!! :evil:

Nice car, but the only place you should be applying RTV silicone gasket maker on the rocker cover is in the very corners where it goes over the cam 'hump'. And over and around the half moon seal on the other side of the head. If there's just as much RTV squeezed out on the inside as there is on the outside, then there's a good chance it will fall off and get circulated around with the engine oil. Not a good thing.

Don't be such a baby. The RTV looks like a 3 year old did it. Its one thing to get flack for something as simple as a bad RTV job, but damn to be a baby and run to another site and smash TGC.com???

Just so you know Club3G isn't going to be any better if you actually posted pics of the RTV job.

Either way good luck with the G, I hope you clean it up and become a man in the process.
