Recently found out that some Hyundai are using the 4g63 DOHC engine, but have a different engine code like G4CP 101Kw. And the coolest thing is that these engine and cylinder heads is much cheaper on the junk yard here in Sweden than the Eclipse.
Any one know if the heads is the same on the 1g?

I thought the Hyundai Sonatas were using the DOHC 4G64's? Either or..the 4G motors in the Hyundais are basically Mitsu motors with a Hyundai name on the valve covers. There may some differences on small minor things like the EGR hookups, vacuume lines, intake, etc etc..but easily swapped for the Mitsu designated parts.

The 89-91ish Sonata has a SOHC 2.4L 4gcs or g64b or whatever. Thats the 6bolt 2.4L that all the DSMers use.

I’ve got an offer to by a sonata 92, 2.0 Dohc, with a 5 speed trany $250
The plan is to take the engine, transmission and al the ochre stuff that I would need from the car and start to build a turbo engine.
I wonder if the transmission is the same as the 7g or the 1g? Cause I want to put in a lcd in it.

LCD? lol ok... Trans is not the same, you cant use a 1g trans in a 7g. The motor is not the same as the 4g63t. The NA version does not have extra oil squirtsers and will have different cames and pistons.

Ok so I can’t use the trany In my 7g.
I know that the pistons not are the same.
The thing is that here in Sweden the 4g63t engine newer was sold here only the NA,
So I could import one but it will be really expensive due to the fiery.
So I decided to build one and ebay shop for the turbo header, pistons and gaskets, also as you wrote that the cams not are the same so I guess I have to get me a pare of those to.
Was thinking if maybe I can build oil squirtsers for the piston cooling. Do you have any tips
