yeah he hooked it up pretty dam fast. I've been asking around on this board for over a year, he came through in a week. I've been watching his ebay thread for a while, he even switched out a lense that had a small crack with a good lense.

Looking good. For some reason I don't like the facelift "JDM" tail lights, the grey at the bottom just doesn't look right. I much prefer the prefacelift and how when the tail lights are on it has a long thin line of lights.

What didya get the twinpots off? Both my 7G's have them factory ;)

Yeah i'm kind of mixed on the two myself, but something about having that item that's just a little bit different from what everyone else has.. i like. calipers com from 3000gt fwd. male fitting.

The taillights we are getting (if i am correct) are technically only available on the Diamond Edition VR4. The main reason they are so coveted is that exact reason. They are not available from aftermarket resources. The only lights you can find are from production line Diamond Edition (25th year anniversary) Galant VR4's.

... and if it ain't true... it definately sounds good :P

It has that "Diamond Edition" front bumper, facelift interior (which consists of different seats, two tone dash, different air con climate control unit) but it doesn't have those tail lights, but they most likely have been replaced at one stage.

Maybe I shouldn't have posted all that above... that way I could have gone to junkyards here and found lots of "OMG JDM y0!! DIAMOND EDITION SUPER COOL" tail lights and sold them to you gullible lot for $$ :D :twisted:

Having said that not all late '94/95 onwards 7G Galants have the facelift front bumpers, they are mainly on the upper-spec Viento/VX-R/VR-4 models but ALL facelift models have those tail lights and the updated interior.

Also I'm not understanding where you are getting 25th anniversary from? As of 1992, Mitsubishi celebrated their 75th anniversary. The first Galant VR-4 was released in 1987 so surely it can't be the VR-4s 25th anniversary.

my gs has a leather steering wheel
udsm 7g's also have a 6.5" woofer in the front door panel.. in place of that half-moon cubby hole in your front door panel for a total of 6 factory speakers.

Yes some Galants have a speaker in the doors too - it looks to be a factory option but usually most VR-4s and Vientos have them. My '93 has a rear wiper but my '94 doesn't. The '94 has ABS and a sunroof while the '93 doesn't.

You say "damn I want that steering wheel" yet you say your GS has one? Does your GS have a leather steering wheel or does it have *that* leather wheel? I was saying that VR-4s and VX-Rs have *that* leather wheel only as opposed to the other models.

Well there's a lot out there about the world spec Galant's we don't know that's also why i said "(if i am correct)" obviously i wasn't. Whether you like them or not, and whether they come standard on viento's, VX-R, and VR-4's the fact still remains that these specific tails can only be imported for USDM galant's. Also another reason why the "facelift/Diamond edition" front bumper is so popular here in the states.

As far as the steering wheel Stunr is referring too, i think he means ours are leather, but US spec has to have a Driverside Airbag. Which is the same reason our front bumper sticks out further for to accomidate for the 25 or 35mph crash bumber... and to the point above, if his came standerd without the airbag, who knows, he might want one with the airbag.

Speakers in doors: Well i actually have an digital HVAC control because i swapped that for some US spec door panals wtth a guy in Sweden, i think :? either way he couldn't find them any where so i went to the JY and found some for him and shipped them to him. He put them on right away, my HVAC controls and radio bezel are still sittting in a box :(
