Looks like he got his coilover setup because I don't see shocks and springs in that pic.

also his car is lowered so you shouldn't be able to see that much into the well. The car is on jack stands.

He already did that one a couple of months ago.

just a few pics i took while installing them,
i like big pics as you can tell.

i'll get some more shots tomorrow.

i've been working most of the day trying to get them tuned how i want them.

its too early to really give a review, but i'll just say the handling is supreme.
i finally have the ride height where i want it, and in the morning i'm driving up to the alignment shop to finalize the install.

at this point i'm at dampening level 1 all around. and the galant is pretty damn responsive.
each strut has 36 levels of dampening adjustment, 1 being soft, 36 being go kart.
i can cornerweight each wheel by adjusting the preload of the spring.

and ride height is independantly adjustable,
so i can slam it to the ground without sacrificing ANY suspension travel.

so i'll update this thread as the weeks go oby, relaying my thoughts and feedback on my new setup.

anyone interested in picking up a set, hit me up and i'll tell you where to get a great price on this killer setup.

yes they make them for the 8g/3g
they have two models,
wel same model, but one set woudl be inverted monotube, the other woudl not be inverted monotube.
i'm sure the inverted will cost a tad more... but its sooooo worth it.
having all the weight of the assembly on the chassis side instead of unsprung, would take a great deal of weight off the suspension.

for example(and a crude one i know)

take your hand to your side and move it back and forth like you are spanking your monkey.
then put a 5 lb weight in your hand(or anything heavy) and try the same thing.

much much harder to do isn't it. especially if you are trying to move your hand exactly as fast as you were before you put the weight in yoru hand.
now put that weight on your shoulder ... and it has zero effect on how fast you can move yoru hand....
get the idea?

when you put heavier wheels on your car, big brakes, heavy tires, these all have the same effect on the springs/dampers of your suspension.
inverted monotube puts the strut cartridge and majority of the assembly's where it has no effect.

www.performancedsm.com is where i got them.
sign up as a member and you will save money on anythign you purchase from them.
you will have to email wayne because the 3g d2 are not on his site.
but he can get them and get them super fast.

check out the site. they actually even make a 8 pot caliper set that will fit 7g's
and a 6 pot for the rear.
no need to go 5 lug.

engine bay is in need of some aesthetic attention.

its in its current state thanks to quick time pressed driveway fixes, upgrades i installed away from my home base garage in the Ville, and chips and scratches to the engine cosmetic finishes of a lot of piping and other accessories.

going to take a weekend to clean up my vacuum lines, some wiring, as well as refinishing my charge pipes and a few other things.
between work and classes i haven't had much time to keep things up to my standards,

but summer is here, annd time is about all i have.

Thanks for the kind replies guys!

as for the suspension, the more i ride it the more i love it!
seems liek its starting to break in.
Went to the alignment shop this morning,
one of the eccentric bolts that allows for toe adjustment on my drivers side rear is seized, so they couldn't correct that wheel today,
but everythign else is dialed in now and i must say that the handling is superb.

so rediculously flat in the corners. and i haven't even turned up the dampening yet. Tommorrow i'll probably hit some familiar backroads and throw the car around a little. maybe up the compression a little.

lane changes on the highway are snappy, i will say its a bit less forgiving on the highway than the eibach due to higher spring rates,
i suspect its mostly due to getting them broken in,
but by no means would i say these shoudlnt' be daily driven.

i got the track/competition version, they have street sets as well with lower spring rates. you can pretty much just tell the authorized vendor what kind of driving you will be doing and they will get a springrate thats right for you.

Thats an amazing drop. Just jawdropping and worth every penny.

Wish I could afford those pennies. :(

Those 6/8 pots are pretty sick too. I'd to see them installed on a 7g.
