Need some help - install

So im puttin on some teins & gr-2s, got the front done! so i moved to the rear, popped the first spring out and now that i got it out i can't get the middle bolt on the top off, the damn thing keeps spinning inside of the spring??? anybody got any ideas cuz man i have tried everything that i can think of?!?!?!

since you have new shocks just put a vic grip to the old struts rod to keep it from spinning. Try to go as far to the top as possible that way if you have to reuse the old ones later the groves left on the rod wont damage the shocks seal.

yep i faced the same problem, vice grips didnt work on mine either i couldnt get a good enough grip..

put some spring compressors on it and then take a hack saw to it. problem solved.

haha yeah i ended up doin the same exact thing, got it all finished though and i'm very pleased...i'll have some pics up as soon as i can

the trick is to get a low power, high speed impact gun, used for small bolts and when you use it, dont hammer at the bolt, pulse the trigger, just hitting it for a half second at a time to break stuff loose.
