I feel I'm done now with the car .. mostly. This is how it looked like when I purchased it back in december 2003 (only got the new rims on this picture):

And this is how it looked this morning (sorry I didn't wash it):

Before you guys start asking: the 'jdm' style rear lights are already traded off. The stock bumper is still here though, but you U.S guys need to fear the shipping cost across the puddle. Certainly over $400 U.S.

Any comments?

I like it besides the nose you added.

It's not bad...I would lower it a little. And match some body kit peices, like the side skirts and rear bumper. Plus, wtf is that box on the rear bumper anyway? The front looks good, but the sides and the back are missing something. Looks like it's only half-finished, ya know? But definately an improvement.

I was thinking maybe a trailor hitch cover.. its a nice upgrade, but the grille peice isnt my taste.... definately an improvement from stock

The car IS lowered actually, about 30 mm (that's 1" and then some). However the rims are only 17". I've chosen not to go any lower; I want to be able to drive it also :)

The car has a towing hook so that's what the little box is for; stealth! ;)

Re: side skirts and rear bumper; sure it would add value to the car (in an esthetic way) but it simply costs too much to have it shipped here and then painted. The front bumper alone cost me over $400 US and I bought it USED + I had to drive almost 1500 kilometers to get it :D That's right, probably more than you would have to pay for the entire kit

Thus; the exterior stays as is. Thanks for your comments.

you can always get other sideskirts and rearbumpers from over seas

like the vr4 sides and rear bumper lips

Cool. I totally understand the reasoning behind all of that. Nevertheless, it is still a nice ride.

i don't like the tails at all. pretty much ruin the look of your car.

but with a good wash, gel on the tires, and some decent photography your car would look a lot better than it does in these pics i'm sure.

nice

Qnz: In other words, you hate it :D

Matt: Overseas being? I'm in Europe. I guess there's the remote possibility I could find some VR4 stuff in the UK, but it seems very remote.

I like it.
What the rest of you TGCers must remember altezzas are like JDMs to other countries.

I can't say I like the front bumper either. And the tails would look better next to a CF trunk IMO. Other than that it's looking nice. :)

what are u talking about u can get the yakuza kit,joy-tuning ships to the U.K but not to the U.S maybe not the whole kit, but if u can let me know.Im interested in getting the front bumper. The font bumper u have on now looks a little to much like the new mitsu front not feeling it ,other that that loving the rest mud flaps and all.

Predat-R: Joy tuning is crap imho; I find their stuff super-ugly and also the fitment doesn't seem too nice from their demo pics.

I can order from them since I'm in Europe so if you wanna have something hooked up just hollar.

Skyline G1 made a good remark about the Altezzas; almost no one has them here so they are kind of unique believe it or not. I know of maybe 4 other Swedish 8G's with these on.

you've come a long way with the car great job. I'm sure some of the things are hard to find. as far as the tails, i'm sure one of these guys would ship you their USDM tails

Blue Ice: I'm happy with the tails actually. Sure the 2nd. gen/3rd. gen tails are clean enough, but since they're on every other car here, I wanted something else.

I actually traded my JDM tails against these with some guy from here (theblackpearl)!

Also please note those aren't separate corner splitters; they're part of the front bumper.

The car is lowered already. If I go lower, it will be hard to drive it.

The hood is from Erebuni.

The "nose" on the bumper is kinda funny; now that you guys mentioned it, I've tried to find another bumper with the same nose (at Erebuni, this is supposedly an Erebuni bumper) but I can't find one! Strange.

Anyway, I'm sure you'll like it more when I've slapped the Mitsu star on there. I'll post a pic when I get around to it :)

over seas meaning anywhere out of the U.S. you should be able to find any vr4 parts from a mitsu dealer.. or there is always different aftermarket parts that are out of the u.s.

Yeh the problem is nothing is manufactured here in Europe; it's either USA or in Asia which means the freight cost is more than the kit.

Mitsu original corner splitters, just 2 small pieces of plastic really, costs $250 U.S. Imagine an entire bumper! :D

yup it was about $750.00USD for my front bumper shipping only (including import fees).
