I have a hole the size of a half of a penny on the upper pipe of my CAI.

I can feel the slight intake leak when the car is at WOT. I currently have it patched with duct tape... but I'm pretty sure that is not working very well.

I do not have access to a welder though, i know how to weld.

What can I patch this hole with??

any help would be appreciated... i really dont want to buy another upper pipe for my intake....

how did you geta hole? was it rubbing on the battery clamp....the only way i can think of at the moment to patch it without a welder and without replacing it is to go to your local auto parts store and get an exhaust repair kit in the same diameter as the intake

this is just for an example but i wouldnt just rely on this i would try to either have it welded or replace it as soon as possible

you have an authentic aem right? that should be made to easily convert to short ram. contact aem and see if they'll replace it.

I just called AEM, and they wont cover warranty on my intake because its a different application. 21-433 is an Eclipse application, and by putting it on the Galant voids the warranty of the intake.... and if anything fails AEM wont have any responsibility for replacing it.

looks like you shoulda pretended u had an eclipse. im pretty sure they're not gonna ask for proof of ownership or anything like that.

Just go to Lowes or Home Depot, you can buy a few inches of steel plate with any thickness/size you want. Would just have to beat on it a bit to bend it to the right angle.
