Angel doors!! They now have a universal kit for the rear doors to have them open up like lambo in the front. I found this kit while reading a mag last night. By looking at the install I think it'll have the same problems that I've seen before when people use the regular lambo kits on the rear doors. When I saw a 300 do this at NOPI a few years back, the rear doors blocked the front access. So if your not careful you will bang the sh@#out of your head when the rear doors are up, plus it looks kinda tricky to get in and out of for both the front and rear passengers. For this set up to work a bit smoother I think you need to use a 90 degree kit for the front and this kit for the back, or maybe have the rear kit be a combo lambo/suicide kit. Anyway, here's a link to some pix of the kit and it installed on a Civic on ebay. I would've posted the pix here, but they were restricted.

Looks like they want $1K no matter where you get in from, but for the money I think the 180 degree suicide kit is still the better way to go if you can find a good custom shop to do the metal work. (I have.)

Ok fella, I might've spoke too soon!! I found some pix of this kit installed on a Neon witha 90 degree kit up front. What's y'all think? These kits are adjustable to fit your taste and needs. Looks like you can keep adjusting to you get the effect you want.

This kit looks like it would work better with sedans that had rear doors without window frames, like the Diamante.

yea i dont like it either, regular lambos on a 4 door is pushing it and can rarely be pulled off cleanly, this is just overkill

Yup, I agree with you guys...this would probably more trouble than it's worth, and will cost alot of money to install just to look like garbage. I think the best use of hinges like this is if a good custom shope took them and mounted them reversely and maybe they would work like a suicide-lambo kit and you could actually have clearance to get in the back. But we will see, I'm willing to bet that these will be in effect at the NOPI nationals in Sept.

Speaking of, they don't make a kit for 8gs that you can open then vertically (lambo style) and normally now, right? I know there's a kit for the stealth and I think 3000gt... they only way I'd get something like that if I could still open my door all the way normally instead of a few inches

What kind of kit does your friend have?
The ONLY reason I'd get a kit like that is for competition, I'm originally from Jacksonville and I know when people get together on the northside for carshows... $1000 investment equals $5000 in my pocket for a sedan category, well atleast a pretty good chance (people can only stand so much of chevy impalas and caprices "pimped' out ghetto-style) ... but that's a very long shot... extremely long

I'd dig on angel doors if they opened to the rear like suicide doors.

Actually I've seen a heavily modded Jetta with rear doors that opened like that with Lambo fronts. I know it would've cost alot to do, but the that had the car, did the work himself and he own his own custom body shop. Must be nice.

But if you really want to try it, here's a link to some helpful parts

he got the kit from verticaldoors.com

for some reason now when he raises his doors all the way now they go down about an inch. im guessing the shocks arent strong enough
