I picked this badboy up on Sunday. 2000 Ducati 748 with 3700 miles on her. The guy I bought it off of had a nice collection going in his garage. He had a MKIV widebody Supra with MT drag radials, GT40 turbo, ect ect, definitely a 500+whp beast. Next in his grage was a road race ready S13 240sx with a nice SR20det engine, he had a cage, huge brakes, and all. Lastly he had a freshly painted black FD RX7 sitting on jack stands awaiting an LS1 swap! The reason he was selling this bike was because he just bought a brand new 2007 Ducato 1098! Must be nice, those things are not cheap.

Anyway, onto the pictures. I really need to replace/fix the left side fairing and give it a nice wash/wax.

I've always like that year Ducati's. Maybe because I see them in Matrix Reloaded lol. I see it's been laid down, you might want to get a new fairing on the left side. They don't make frame sliders for ducati's? Good choice though congrats!

Thanks for the comments, I thoroughly enjoy the bike! Frame sliders only protect the frame from damage, not the bodywork.

I ended up paying $6000 cash for the bike, wasnt a bad deal at all.

Wow. Looks nice!

How does it feel to have to lean all the way forward? Does it feel awkward or pretty natural?

I had the idea in my head to turbo whatever bike I did end up getting, but I dont think I could do it to a Duc. The riding position is pretty comfortable to me, the tank is pretty well indented so your legs stick in the bike very nicely. Ive heard of older people complain about wrist problems though, but so far I am good.

I washed the bike with Honda Polish today and that stuff is amazing. Basically just spray it on and rub it off. It took off some tar, bugs, and made the black plastic air box go from an ugly gray to a brand new looking black. This stuff would be awesome to clean an engine bay. I will take some more pics tomorrow after I get off work, the bike looks much better now.

Seth is a smart guy, he wouldn't do things to hurt himself or other people.

Very nice choice Seth, looks like it would be fun. Take care of her.
