Hey everyone, help with the spark plugs would be great.

After much thinking and deliberation I have decided to bail on my Galant in 6 months. I have only had the car for 6 months and blown 2 gear boxes (total of $5500) had a cracked fuel line ($280), replaced brakes all round ($250) and now got this jerking problem that I hope is the spark plugs. i have looked around at buying another galant but every one i see has had gear box problems. Seems that here in Australia you couldnt buy a good Galant. Therefore Im going to go for an imported Mitsubishi FTO GPX with a Veilside body kit. You can get the engine to produce around 250hp without needing turbos. And they look sweet. Being that Mitsubishi didnt sell them here in Australia I have to get one imported.

Just thought i would spill my guts and see everyones reaction....hahahaha

Do you mind if I ask what your surge problems are?

Do you have this spoiler? I'll buy it off you before you get rid of the Galant!

If you have that spoiler, I REALLY WANT IT!

Yup, thats my spoiler allright, probably more of a lip actually. Check out this link, the car looks exactly like mine accept mine is dark metalic blue with 17" tri-spoke ARBET rims and I have done some custom work on the dash and centre consol.
Dont really want to pull the car to bits before I sell it and I live in Tasmania, Australia. Thats on the other side of the globe to you. Sorry.
I can keep an eye out for one if you like.

Hey PinoyESV6,
No, the spoiler can be removed from the boot but it looks pretty %#it without it.

Hi notsogalant, I found out yesterday that my surge problems are being caused by stuffed spark plugs. i pulled 3 of them out and they are rooted. I have ordered 6 iridium tip plugs which should go down sweet. Better than platinum tip plugs. My younger brother is an auto electrician so I have got the plugs off him for $14.85 each (thats australian dollars, roughly double it for U.S $) thats pretty cheap considereing in a shop they would cost me up to $35 per plug.

If you could look out for one, don't care what color, or condition, I'd GREATLY appreciate it. Thanks much!
