Ok, its about that time I change up my exhaust. I want to run either a 2.5 to a Tanabe Tuner Medallion hyper spec muffler or a 2.75 to a Tanabe Muffler.

Is 2.75" too big for my 4G64?

this is the muffler:

and I will get the piping done by a local speed shop.

It's way too big of a far can. That has been the consensus for years. the stock is 2.25 and appear to be perfect, unless your car is forced fed.

piping 2.25 NA I4, up to 2.75-3.0 if you are HEAVILY boosted.
muffler size isn't as important as piping size. you could run a 2.5 inlet 5" outlet and it wouldn't make much of a difference performance wise.

dad has header, stock flexpipe and 2.5 all the way back with a high flow cat and 2 mufflers... with no problem.. I wouldnt go any bigger though.... its kinda pointless.. unless your going to be force fed in the future
