haha that was only about 1/10 of the EVOS there (350+?)... they were parked EVERYWHERE (the streets surrounding, grass, overflow etc). the evo's you see in that pic were the ealry arrivals!

nice pics......did Cali win anything...

there were only 2 awards this year: "dyno king" and "best of show". BILLET's 8G took best of show! we all thought CALI had it wrapped but BILLET's car is super clean w/ carbon fiber lower skirts and full custom molded flares (hand made) and the judges felt he deserved it. it was just cool to know that out of 800+ cars registered, a galant took it home (again!).

plaque and trophy... but the bragging rights for the year go even farther than that! the galant crew was out numbered something like 20 to 1 in the parking lot... we were the underdogs every year (just like in every show G's are judged). to come out on top was huge and 2 do it 2 years out of 2 years was really big!

i don't know BILLET's mod list too well except for what i saw (i didn't even look inside his car... actually you can't even see in there, his tint is DARK). we were talking about other crap all day and our girl friends were w/ us (so u know we have to include them in tha conversations). in fact after MOD07was done, BILLET, CALI, RUBEN and i all hung out at downtown disney w/ our girlfriends, had dinner at ESPNZONE (RUBEN and his lady left after dinner) then the 6 of us watched transformers... it was like a whole couples thing... i dunno, outside of here we don't really talk about cars when we are together. hell some of the conversations we had at MOD were hillarious just cuz we all have known each other for so long (years).

The lip is a VRG lip cut and modified to fit. He did a good job, but you can see where its cut still...

as far as i know, his fenders are handmade (hand formed) FG. that's why the judges really liked them.

i probably had my husic too loud. i live in bel air / sherman oaks. i rearely drive that car anymore... it's not that much fun to be so careful all the time. we have an SUV and i don't have to slow down for potholes or speed bumps!

hell yeah i cant wait. man the mitsu guys arent gonna know what to say. i just hope they recognize it. even if they dont it will make more of an impression. i hope the dyno competition will be more open this year. i would love to see what im making at sea level after this new motor build

i will be certain to get at least one of the galants dynoed this year... it is by invitation only but if any of you guys can get to 400whp, i'll make sure u are in the king of the dyno contest.

No offense to Cali, but his car was far from the highest WHP Galant at MOD last year.

Yeah, Reelax, I'm already putting down well over 400 WHP at sea level, so see what you can do about getting me a dyno run. Should be 600 WHP by the time MOD rolls around. TGC represent!

here's what my contact at MMNA R&D wrote me on 2/12/08...


...we don't have any dates yet, unfortunately. I'm guessing it will be either July or August for here in Cypress (yeah, it's bloody hot, but it's getting too late to move it earlier). As soon as we have a plan, we'll unleash the info right away. I wish I could tell you more, but we're in the begining stages at the moment. I will certainly keep you posted as best I can... We really appreciate the enthusiasm as it helps fire us up here too!

Looking like Sept. now. Which I wouldnt mind, driving in August across the Mojave is an engine killer, especially on the way back going uphill around Baker.
