5spd tranny swap

hey guys i need some help please! i'm going to swap my automatic for a 5spd, and i really can't wait. i just need to know what car has the tranny that will fit into my 01 g?

3G eclipse tranny should work. Good luck finding one at a cheap price. Last one i saw was $950 not to mention all the other stuff you gotta get. I kid you not its well worth the money and time invested.

All depends on your ride man, and what you want.. You got a 2001 galant. Im not sure if its the I4 or the V6 But if its the I4. I belive your lookin for the 5spd tranny off of the 3g Eclipse. 2000-2004 I would go with a 2001 As your car ... And if u are running the I4 Motor. Get the Tranny off the 2001 Eclipse GS . and if your v6. get it off the GTS Model... Its the higher end tranny. They may make an adapter plate, Or the GTS tranny may just bolt up, I kinda wish i knew more on this subject as well, im very intrested in doing the swap.

You should do a search too before trying to answer his question. It didnt seem like your response was trying to be sarcastic as was others who were pushing him to search to find the right answer. It seemed as if you were genuinly trying to answer his question, but with wrong info. If you have an I4 galant, you get the tranny from an I4 3G, if you have a V6 galant, you get the tranny from a V6 3g. The GT or GTS model tranny is no better than the I4 model, except for the fact that it wont fit into an I4 because its a different bell housing.
