nice going to look good jay, just a thought but i think it would look sick if you had them add some fender flares or something molded to the rest of the body, maybee one of those small universal kits or something

Jay, just a small suggestion in terms of safety. I see you really had to cut the crash bar alot. You should consider having the shop weld a piece of metal to the front of the bar to bridge the top and bottom to "box" it off so its stronger. If you get hit with that thing the way it is, its gonna break right in half. I had to cut mine as much as you did when I had that bumper on my car, but my shop boxed off the bar and thats the same one that I got hit by the drunk driver and mine held up extremely well for a 40mph nearly head on collision.

yeah I was thinking the same thing. That's the way the last shop left it. And until the front bumper was pulled off I never new what was under there. The shop said they made me a custom crash bar, not that they mutilated the one that I had.

Nope I am not doing the work. The work is being done by a local shop. Molding the front bumper? As nice as that looks, nope I would never do that.

lookin good!! i think u should find a super vr4 grille or a new style grille and cut off the grill it has now, fiberglass the holes and add the vr4 grill in there, no one has that set up and it would flow really nice...it might not be ur taste or a lil to late lol but would be different...there not slow workers, ur car got done gettin molded pretty quickly!

hey jay i completyely forgot but i think i may have a billet grill laying around that i intended on using for my old kit before i went jdm, let me know if you want it while you got the car in the shop....i still have to meet up with roman for something eventually anyway but if you would like it i will see if i have it stashed somewhere, cant remember if i got rid of it though lol
hmm maybe maybe. I dunno how much of a fan of billet I am though. It reminds me of a truck LOL. But maybe it might work out this time around. Sure if you don't need it and it is just laying around. I am not sure how much longer my car will be in the shop though. I think I should have it back by the end of this week.

Nice Jay.... I see you molding sides and rear..... GOOD LUCK....

And no more speeding thru local streets. Did you ask them if the bass from your system would affect the molding?

The price is damn good. I got quoted a lot more then I am getting charged by this guy. The shop is taking a little then they had told me when I dropped my car off originally, but for the money I am getting charged and the spectacular job they are doing I definitely made the right decision with letting them do the work.

I was worried about it, being that he isn't using a booth and all. But I have seen the work that he has done on some cars and trucks while I have been there, and the paint jobs are flawless.

no update. Didn't bother to take more pics today. The car is just taped off more, and awaiting being painted. The paint was never purchased yesterday, but was supposed to be bought today.

Friday I went by and there was an imperfection in the bodywork so they had to correct that before painting. Today the bodywork was all straight, but the car was still prepped to be painted and not painted yet. hopefully it got painted tonight.

Well the car is painted as of today. Unfortunately my camera was dead. But the car needs to be wetsanded, and polished anyways. They are reassembling the car. And I should have it back in the next day or so.

I didn't get to snap any pics today. But the whole car is fully assembled, and polished out and what not. And overall it looks great. What a transition with the molding of the kit and the shaving of the door moldings, and with the new paint, it looks like a different car. But I found 2 drips in the clear coat that have to be removed before I take the car home. So I should have it back on Monday or Tuesday.

got the car back last night. And it looks great. On the ride home I had a blowout though. :cry: It was on my 15s so not that bad. Unfortunately I was unable to jack up my car with the stock jack, and I can't fit my donut on the front wheel cause of my upgraded calipers. I had Roman (Goosey2099) come out with a hydrolic racing jack for me and I was able to take a wheel off his car, and he used his donut, and I then gave it back when I got back to my house. I had my father bring me to the shop so he was following me when I had the blowout. My father is a retired police officer, and he has his personal car with lights and sirens in it. he provided us with saftey behind my car and kept all his lights flashing. Apparently someone driving passed called 911 cause of the scene, and they assumed that my father was giving us a hard time or something. With the way people are now using lights and sirens to pull people over and rob them. Anyways. A marked police truck and an unmarked police car show up, 5 officers come out, 2 with guns drawn around my fathers car. My father explained what was going on. The officers came up to me and asked what was going on. I explained to them. And I thought last night was going to be quiet. Just pick up my car and bring it home. And then to my girlfriends house for dinner. :lol:
I currently have 3 15s and 1 18 on my car. I will take pics prolly over the weekend, once I have matching wheels on the car.
But for whomever wants to see it before pics are taken, come to the meet in Brooklyn on Sunday.

on the outside i cannot agree more.

It really is breathtaking...

time to work under the hood,

lets clean it up, no more loose wiring, take the slack out of all the red hoses, or get rid of the dirty red hoses(pcv, washer fluid, coolant overflow etc) nad use a nice black vac hose.
reroute the wires/hoses so that they are out of site. wiring/ hoses are one of those things you want to hide, not flaunt.

seriously though i feel so critical at times... your car looks awesome man.
now timme to make a little sumthin sumthin happen under the hood to complete the package.
