I know that a lot of people have different tastes, but i was woundering what is the most popular size for a 2002? I was thinking about 17s, but dont know if 18s or 19s will fit better? Im into the tuner scene, but dont want anything too flashy. Just dont want to get 17s and it still look funny.

18's thats what I have on my car, and I still have stock struts and springs. But, you can do 19 or 20. So, just up to you and your taste.

most popular size, im guess 18". 17/18/19 all fit it depends on the offset you choose. i have 19x8.5 + 42 offset and they fit fine. 17's are nice to but thier to small for me imo. any wheel you have in mind?

depends...what are your future plans for teh car as far as body work, on a stock galant i think 18's look the best but if you have a kit or go jdm conversin or something then i prefer 19's in general

18's i think are a good starter size.

if you live in an area where it snows and you want to wear the wheels all year long or live in an area with really bad roads, you might consider 17's

or if you live in an area where it never snows and the roads are as smooth as glass, you might consider getting 19's

many agree that 18x7.5 (somewhere around +45 offset) is a good size. thats what i have and i think its perfect with 225/40/18s. will look much better with a drop as well. that front fender gap is a biatch

for my 99 i had 18's until i took them off and i needed a 215/40/18 tire and they were worried about the rub, but it was fine

Very true. I live in NYC & I have 18x8 rollers & drive like grandma (poyholes). Also I change to factory rims in th winter months.

ive been a member for years, But never post much. So i cant post any pictures of my ride, But soon enuf... I have 245/45/zr17's on my ride, with a megan racing suspension, i went with 17's cause i thought there would be some rubbing issues. i would say it would look best with an 18 inch rim sittin on 50 series rubber to compensate. just a personal oponion, its all about your own particular taste

No 50 series 18" tire will fit our cars without rubbing.

With 18s you should use:

215/45-18s
225/40-18s
235/40-18s

You should know that your more likely to run with your tire size (245/45-17) than your wheel.

I think it all depends on the wheel style. I have 16s on my G right now and I don't think they look terrible. It's just the wheel gap that looks bad. I've seen 18s that look too small and 17s that look just as big as 19s. Tire size and ride height have a lot to do with it too. But I definately want a set of 19s for my next wheels.
