i currently have the factory inserts, im lookin to put just some black ones, where the radio and stuff is and where the gear shifting knob is, anyone know where u can buy some? or does it have to customized by yourself?

a few problems arrose, but nothing too serious, just looks bad in some spots if u give it a close look, otherwise for being home done id say it looks pretty darn good

you did pretty good on that. and it was fast. i belive u started painting yours the same time i did. i remember seeing you talk about it. im still waiting for my clear to dry on two peices. lol but i went overboard because im obsessive like that and think everything should look absolutly perfect. but now i wish i was more practical. i sanded off all of the woodgrain so there wasnt a trace left. started with 80 grit, then 250, then 400, then 1000, then 1500, then 2000grit. then i finally painted it gloss black. i went overboard there too. put like 7 coats of paint on it..lol, then when that dried i wet sanded it with 1000grit then 1500grit then 2000grit..lol looks frikkin killer though, but now its been a week and im still driving around with missing interior peices cus my shit still hasnt finish drying cus i just cleared it yesterday afternoon. but all i have to do is wet sand that and then buff it....i want to paint the bottom part of the dash black like you did. looks bad ass..

i know the 02 and 03 do but i have no idea personally if the 99-01 do? the only de's ive ever seen were of those 2 years

Yes the de's do... my radio bezel, shift bezel... and all door pieces are black...

I have a 2002 DE and all of my stuff is black except for my radio bezel, and it is the same color as the dash.
