Looks nice, I am sure it carries a hefty price tag though?!

My question would be "is it actually any better than the original, or does it just look perty?"

Also, is there really any benefits for those w/o forced induction? Those with just say CAI, exhaust, ignition, headers, adj timing....

AFC's are always good, assuming you have a freeking clue as to how to use one. Fully adjusting your fuel map can pick up great gains, especially as you mod things like intake/exhaust and fuel delivery. Umm, I know on my buddy's Miata we picked up 15 wheel hp with just rough tuning (but to be fair, with fine tuning we only got an extra 1-2 hp so our "rough" tune was actually almost spot on) And that was just with a Magnaflow and a K&N drop in by way of mods. I doubt the S-AFC II is any better than the regular one, probably more for extra points at a show than any actual improvement in design.

the AFC II is a lil bit smaller than the old one and a lil bit easier to use than the old one. also, it looks nicer. not that big of a difference between the old one but you know, gotta come out with something new every couple of years

I'm just gonna wait on AFCII until somebody throws one in and can wire it up to a hyrbrid conversion. I'm not going to be a pioneer with performance shit cuz I don't want to pioneer fucking my car up, lol.

Just like all other AFC's, need to splice wires into ECU. The tricky part is knowing which wire to tap into for different ECU's from different cars. And lots of times, even the manufacturer for the AFC do not have documentation for all makes and models. Plus after the install, you have to know how to tune it too. They do have some general guidelines and tips and suggestions on tuning though.
