i was bored so i was thinkin about doin somethin wit my interior dash panels. i dont like that rough plastic look thats on all the plastics and i wanted a smooth glass like appearence. so what i did was i coated the pieces with fiberglass resin (no cloth or mat) and let it dry. then i took some 220 grit sandpaper and smoothed it out. i finished it with 2000 grit over the whole piece and then painted. well now my plastics look and feel glass smooth and shine brightly. ill try to take some pics some time. go ahead and try it......
