how are you doing a cutom trunk with no system or anything what is i going to be just a lot of fiberglass waves? lol...or are you just reupholstering it to another color/ material?

you don't need a system to do a custom trunk. during fishing season I have shelves and stuff to hold my Plano boxes and other fishing gear in my trunk to keep them from sloshing around when I drive.

i'd probably have more space if i had a custom box for my subwoofer though.

I just kept mine a little more simple, but clean. Still have access to spare tire, still can remove subs if needed, and all the wires are hidden.
You can see a few more pics/process here.

I have something similiar to that, but I have a floating amp rack, which is also attactched to the 5lb. bottle, and amps and bottle move when the motorized decklid is in motion.

you can cut plexi-glass with a box cutter or Xacto blade and a straight edge. Use a box cutter, it'll be more efficient. It'll take awhile, especially depending on how thick you get, but it'll be worth it. You'll get a cleaner cut than say a dremel or jigsaw.

Try art / hobby stores too. I've even seen big sheets of it at sporting goods stores.

just go to the big box hardware store and they hsould have it next to the replacement glass/mirrors. they come in different thicknesses also.

cutting it, pretty much what I do is rough cut it with the dremel. I use just the plain drill bit and just melt my way through the cut. then i'll fine cut it with a jig saw and an extra fine blade. finally sand the edges smooth.

key to cutting plexi with like a hand saw is to keep the plexi flat on the cutting surface and secure. if the plexi moves up and down with the saw blade then you risk cracking it more.

I think Home depot and lowes are pretty much going to be your competitive places. Unless the little hardware stores in your local area might have them. I kinda doubt it, but you can try. I know your very axionous to fix up your ride. But remember, be patient. Do one thing at a time. Write a list on what you like to do, then find out how much it will cost for the stuff, then judge if you like to spend the money now or later. Don't spend your money on something just for temp results. Save that cash for something else better. This is my opinion, 1.Get your rims first. 2. Get your OEM spoiler, 3rd just go from there. Just do the basic little stuff that is cost effective and still looks like quality product, and not garbage. I think your 8G would apreciate that. But on the real, just TAKE YOUR TIME..... :D

any mechanic type shop will do it and it wont be that much for labor...most places charge like 100-150 which isnt too bad... especially since you dont have any tools you wont have to buy any which can be a few dollars as well

that trunk looksclean bro. though it's alwaysgood to have a spare in the back but screw it, that looks dope. and 99galant...you could lower your car for less than 300bucks if you shopped around and got the right price on rims and the right price on labor. about $150 more or less for the tein s techs and $100 to $250 for labor depending on where you go. if you went to a dealership it'll cost you like $250 but a decent mechanic will probly charge like $150 so for $300 bucks you can have your ride sitting right. then you can save up for some aftermarket struts when your stock ones wear out. ive been lowered on stock strtuts for a year and im fine, but my shocks were pretty much brand new and i didnt see the point of replacing them at the time so i just had the teins put on. just last night i installed my new freedom design strut bar. looks killer under the good and it actually makes a rather big difrence in the ride. stiffens it up quite a bit. handle great. it went on perfect too. no trouble at all. the gtz wheels you have are nice looking when the car is lowered. if you painted them black theyed look hot with the suttle drop the teins give you. makes a huge difrence once you see it when its lowered and evened out without that huge front wheel gap. theres no getting past that man. and the gap seems even bigger with larger size rims on it. so i'd lower it first man then get wheels. 300 bucks dude and itll be the best thing you spent money on for your car. i know you mother probly doesnt like the idea of you lowering your car, i have gathered this much from what you have said thus far, but you could do it behind her back and man she'd never know the difrence i swear. even if she drove it right after. the ride isnt all that much diffrent accept it handles better around corners and there is less nose dive when you brake. you could find a place to put them on first, a place that doesnt charge much and then have them shipped there and just go there and have them put them on. it only takes a couple hours man. you could do it and she'd never know.lol

the reason it was shaking was because of the one bad rim. not the others. one bad wheel will cause the whole car to ride shitty. you could seriously get it fixed man. listen. my mother sounds alot like your mother and that means most mothers dont know shit about cars. i would, if i was you, take my car, the wheels and my mother to a machine shop and explain to him the deal and see if it can be fixed. then i would have the dude at the machine shop explain to my mother that when the cracked wheel is fixed the car will not shake anymore and then have him explain why. then this will passify your mother. you mom seems like she's over protective and doesent believe in doing silly things like lowering your car and putting rims on them.... most mothers are all like this. but whyle youre living under her roof and whippin around your ride thats in her name....you'll have to do things like passify her when it comes to doing stuff like this. make her feel comfortable about it so she doesnt worrie about her son and his car...lol making mom dukes feel better about pimpin her ride101..lesson one..lol

it shakes without that bad one on it. it shakes with my stock ones too (damn burnouts  ) but im just going to get new ones when i can, going to drop to 17's just so i have a bit more tire too my town sucks at fixing pot holes, anyways the machinist told her that it would cost 100 but it could recrack if hit rite so he recomended that i sell them (i would sell them on here if someone knows how to fix them, or if someone just wanted the BRAND NEW $500, i cant sell til tomorrow) so i found a nice set of 17's from a place around here that will mount balance for free with the purchase
