Underbody Neon, Inside the car?

I have installed a blue under body neon kit inside my car. What do you all think of this? Stupid, or innovative? Its definitely bright as hell. You can't drive past a cop with it on that's for sure. I also have a kit under my car too. But the inside looks sick.

This is just MY personal opinion but.. i kinda think neon lights inside your car look tacky and cheap. But thats just me... i know a lot of people DO like it

i have white under, i prefer it outside and not inside, altho i was thinking about doing SHORTER ones inside, like 9" instead of 36" plus u can get a LED 9" at walmart for like 10 bucks

since its an underbody kit it must be on the roof of the interior, meaning u can see the bulbs, probably catching UV sun tanning bulb-like rays during ur drive... not necessary :lol:

i'll admit, i have neons in the interior of my car, and they are nicely hidden underneath the seats but they are also hooked up to the dome light so the only time they come on is when u open the door so it lights up the interior for you at night. now thats innovative.

yea when i get a few interior tubes im putting them on their own switch, its just easier to see things at night when your getting out of the car after going somewhere

thanks for all your feedback. I am taking pictures this weekend with my buddies 06 civic si. i will post them. they are almost impossible to hide, but they do look good from outside the car, i have them wired to a wireless remote along with my under body kit and the neon under all the seats.

p.s. lonestar- my car does not go faster now. but does that really matter? after you put the smoked headlights on your car and the red brake calipers did it go faster? no, didn't think so. its not a performance mod, its visual. but thanks for your input on the topic.

this just crossed my mind. why did you get underbody tubes?? i mean i got my smaller tubes for walmart for 5 bucks a piece. they're easy to hide. they're cheap, and im pretty sure if i get a bunch of them, i can light up my interior much brighter and cheaper than buying an underbody set.

Yea, I can't imagine an underbody kit being installed inside. I used to have blue neon setup like Pinoy, but also had a tube under the dash to illuminate the footwells on either side, also only triggered by the dome. I used to have blue neon on the underbody, but ditched it. That I had triggered with my alarm; the alarm had a 30 second hot output when it disarmed.

I can understand accent lights. Full neons that belong outside, on the inside? No. But I'm sure there are plenty of things I do other people wouldn't agree with. But yeah, they do make neon tubes designed to go inside the car. I dunno, sometimes I consider putting some lights like that in my ride, but only so I can find shit when I drop it...
There are a lot of modifications that people do that don't do anything for performance. But trashing on someone for doing that kind of non-performance mod is kind of dumb. I mean, the Galant is no racecar. I'm sure most of the people here bought the Galant for it's styling, not for it's 140 HP engine... :wink:

i've got a buddy that use to have green bulbs way back in the air vents. he had a green accord. other than the honda signs on it it looked pretty sweet. lights looked good to, i wouldnt mind do it myself, wire it to a toggle switch or something

Yeah, I've seen leds in the a/c vents before, looked good depending on how the rest of the interior looked. I'm still trying to picture 30" - 48" tubes. I could possibly see one on the rear deck tucked between the deck and the top of the rear seats... but.. I dunno.
I had 2 10" red neon tubes under the seats of my old car, one under each seat. Went well with the custom red and white interior I had inside. The glow of the red hitting off the white pieces looked really sexy. Red Light Special is what we called it, lol. Ah, I miss that. :(

used a 32" for inside and trunk had it wired up to the ground of the car so when I opened the door it would fade in and out and would blink with the corner lights on lock and unlock 8)

Honestly I used to be in that phase.. Back when I had my Intrigue I had (counting) 9 neons in my car and (counting) 10 LED's here's a pic of what it used to look like.. I used to call it ClubIntrigue... Definitely was overkill..

I had a white underbody neons on my other car, looked really good. But I only had them on when I was parked, or if it rained... it looked sexy as hell off the wet asphalt.

As for my galant, I doubt I'm gonna do any neons or lights on the inside. I'm planning on doing my interior tan and black, I doubt anything would go well with that. If anything, I'll get a red led scanner for my dash.
