What are my pros and cons when it comes to lowering springs vs. coilovers?
What suspension will give me a better ride, while getting rid of my gap.

Thanks everyone for all of your help!! I'm still learning and I love hearing everyone opinions.

Hyperblack set looks hot. Suspension wise, I'd go with the lower springs and gr-2s, even the kyb agxs (if you have an 8g, the 00-05 eclipse ones are a direct fit) if you want adjustable shocks and struts, but they are more expensive. Personally, I believe springs will give you a more comfortable ride than coilovers. Every time I see coilovers I think track use. But everyone has their different opinions on them. Good luck!

#1 in silver, and gr2's, coilovers are really expensive...

get TEIN BASIC. it's the best compromise and is ride height adjustable. SS-P might be overkill for what you are doing. even though the BASIC's are not dampenning adjustable, they are miles better than regular lowering springs and GR2/AGX (which were NOT made for use on lowered cars). I'm not feeling the choices on the wheels but it's your car. just remember 225/35zr19 for 19's or 225/40zr18 for 18's.

i would go with #1 the color would depend on your car, coilovers are the best option and yes the ride can be outstanding and feel like stock it all depends on how you set them,
i will actually be selling my tein ss kit sometime next week, but for some reason i cant get the adjustable ring to spin either up or down on them and due to my wheels and fender flares i cant drive or turn the way they are now lol....i will be selling them pretty cheap around $400, at the moment they are set to about a 3"drop or so i didnt measure it but the stance and ride is very nice overall

i just went with a wider wheel and a larger size tire on my 19's if you stay with the size reelax said it shouldnt be a problem at the height its at now....they probroblly could be fixed but i dont have teh time and i need my car moving for next week lol so i cant really play with them too long....just something to consider before making a purchase on a drop kit at the moment if you were interested

Coilovers FTW!!

But be advised, they can get really rough when driving long distances.

About the rims. neh. Both arent my style, but for you, The first set with the darker color.

If you go 17's you can run 235/45/17 with no rubbing issues.

if you go 18 or 19, then follow what reelax said

Do it right the first time, get coilovers. No one here with coilovers say "Man, I wish I kept my old springs instead." The people who promote springs have never had coilovers 8)

coilovers for the win. And if you spend a little extra when you get the superstreets you can adjust the suspension firmness from the driver seat.

pick up some megan racing dampers. i like them better than teins, as do so many drivers(ask stewi)

On my ride i have D2 coilovers, and i absolutely love them.
makes me wish i woudl have picked these up first, instead of wasting my time on different spring/shock setups.

i drive a 200 mile round trip about once a week to once every 2 weeks on average, and since have taken a few trips of 300 miles or more. on my d2 coilovers.
and i cannot commplain for one second about the ride quality.
at its softest setting its much better than my old eibach/agx.

Im wanting to go as low as i can with springs because i can afford coilovers. So do you all know which ones that will lower my car the most? and of course i have an 01 8g

please use the search tool... and you should have made this a new thread... but anyway, progress, sprint, and megan will all give you about the same drop... that's the lowest u can go with springs

Or...if you wanna go even lower...just cut one of the coils

last resort. never cut stock springs, and never cut more than a coil off aftermarket springs. the problem w/ cutting springs is it is hit or miss. also you could very easily ruin the spring or have an uneven stance. coilovers allow you to fine tune the drop from mild to slammed.

I have teins and agx on a V6. I have them set on 4 all around for a stiff ride. I still get a little bounce.

If you can afford them, go with the recommended megan coil overs. $850-$900
This will give you performace and a lower stance to go along with the rims.
