maf adapters

i looked on ebay and for some reason all the mitsubishi maf adapters are plastic and the ones for other vehicles are metal.. is there a reason for this?
cause i want a metal one and i can't find one for a mitsubishi.

A company called Spectre actually produces a 4" one that is sold at Autozone and other local stores. Fits the 8G and 7G iirc.

yup autozone, just odered mine, its 12bucks here, pep boys also has it for 10 bucks but there is none around me ...
