I'm really beginning to think the only way i like black rims is if it's on a black car. Your's looks really nice. you know what you need to do now.

It's always funny, people get rims, and take pics and always get the comment "needs a drop" or something of the sort. Let me ask you, what series tires did you get. looking at the pics it looks like 35. Maybe some one should start a post for Tire size for rims with no drop. 45 series tire would take up a lot of gap, not sacrifice the ride, protect the wheels, and still look good.

I know the local shop has "the deal package" for rims and tires. but you also have to look at the series of tire will also protect your money you invested in your wheels.

I'm not critisizing you, heck i made the same mistake with my first set, cause i didn't know. and i bent and scraped them. Went 45 with the new wheels, and haven't had any problems. plus the tread wears longer. And on your car, that extra black from the tires will look good with a shine

well let me thank you guys for the compliments. i know that i need a drop, but i am waiting to get the TEIN strut kit from jdmcarboy.com. i am pretty sure that if i get that kit, i will be able to get thicker tires.

Right now to answer some wandering thoughts, i do have 20" rims with Toyo Tires size 235-30-20. When i bought my rims and tires, i told them what i wanted as far as rims with tires, and they gave me two sizes to try. 225-35-20 or 235-30-20 and well i had to get the rubber bands because the other sizes rubbed in the front against the coil-over protectors.

i can understand that your not criticizing me haha i dont mind the comments at all. if anyone has any alternatives or ideas and ways to make it possible to get thicker tires, please let me know.

yes i do want a drop really badly.

wondering also, does anyone think that i should paint the front grill black?

i was hoping i didn't sound too critical, and i didn't read you had 20's till a lil later. as far as the grill, i say leave the trim chrome, but maybe black the ribs, it'll kind of play off your wheels

that is what i was thiking. i played around with the back side and painted that black but i need to really get on the inside of the ribs. i agree.

think i should invest in getting the black headlight housings?

your speedometer will be off if you get bigger tires probably.
just a reminder.

if this happens, is there a way to get it calibrated?

those are JDM... seperate low and hi beam bulbs... USDM have only one bulb for both hi and low. if you want to keep your USDM headlights and grill, you can open your headlights and paint the housing black (leave the reflector bowl chrome).

i want to do a retrofit with TL or TSX projectors. which ones do you think would suit the G better? Reelax i think i talked to you about it at MOD. What do you all recommend?

if you're goin to keep USDM headlights then just do the TL bixenon (which will let you keep the hi/low functions via a moving internal shield). if you are going to swap up to JDM, then tsx low beam projectors and OE high beam would look nice... check out ASTIG's thread he just did this retro.

the inacuracy is not big enough to be noticed at speeds below 65-70 mph if that. you can take it to the dealership to get recalibrated. but again, not worth it.
