Just do a search for "FORGED" wheels. There are quite a number of them for under $500 ea. The other option is smaller and a more open design if you want lighter but can't find a nice forged wheel you like.

i hate do bother but i need to know the weight of the wheel too, most of these sites dont say the weight

know what you mean. for some, you have to go to the manufacturer's website to get more specs. Here are a couple of places you can start with... (some specs are old or they don't have them in all the different sizes, etc. but should give you some place and styles to start with).

Just off the top of my head I know these companies make forged wheels:
Centerline
Fikse
Kinesis
OZ
Ro_Ja
Volk
Weld

are RO_JA any good? cause i can get them cheap

I think RO_JA are good. They get a lot of press coverage in the magzines. What is the minimum weight you would want? 13 lbs? And if I may ask, why is this necessary? Well, I know nobody wants a heavy ass wheel but I was just curious to know.

Velox has some inexpensive light wheels that just came out. There are some good deals going on Velox wheels and packages.

the less unsprung weight equals less HP wasted on spinning up mass. you'll have better steering response, better handling, better braking, saves gas, saves brake pads, and more torque. I say those are great reasons to spend a little more on something that is only a one time expense. It's also the one upgrade that gives you 3 major things all at the same time, performance, handling, and great looks.

there are lots of other light weight wheels that are not forged that are pretty good too but obviously not as light as forged.

I would actually spend a little more on getting decent wheels than good rubber if your budget is tight. Wheels are one time; tires always gets replaced when worn. So save up for better wheels and perhaps next time around, you can get awesome tires to go with it.

ok now answer this, i have a custom paint job, im not saying what color, its a certain black, but i can honestly say i have the black galant on TGC.

what color wheels should i get; silver, bronze, gunmetal, or black?

i like them all, so any suggestions will help......

Hmmm, tough call. It depends on what you want out of your wheels or better put...... how you want them to look on the car. Here's my take on a black car:

Silver: stands out the most and will put major emphasis on the wheels.
Bronze/Gold: most unique in color and can work just as well as silver if you like the color against the black car or if you have the same colors running on the car like gold trims or pinstriping or bronze tinting.
Gunmetal: depending if it's dark gunmetal or the lighter one that looks like pewter or dark gray... will keep it low key but still a nice contrast to the black rubber on the tires.
Black: black on black and basically keeping the car all monotone will give you that Euro-monotone color-matched everything look and will definitely draw no attention to the wheels (IMO).

That's just my take on different color wheels on a black car. I have just the opposite; I have a sterling silver one and well......... I'm not letting anyone know what I'm putting on it until it's done, lol (mums the word). Only one person knows the wheels I got, hehe.

so far im thinking of gettin gunmetal maybe black, i dont think im ready for black

yeah im not doing anybody work, kits n' shit, im goin straight sleeper style, i dont like attention, im the type of person that sits back and watches everybody, its funny cause down in FL we undercover cops with hooked up cars, its crazy trust me, and the last time i went to the races down here everybody thought i was a cop, lol.

seriously people my car is so black i cant see the hood at night, from the drivers seat. i make benz and lexus look gray, compared to my car, theres only one car on the road thats as black as me.
all my friends hate me cause they dont consider any car black, they say "oh thats just dark gray" people dont belive them until they see my car, lol.

i dont wanna come out bragging, im only saying this cause it happened again today

How about white rims on your black galant??
It will stand out a lot more but I think it looks really good if it looks clean.Check out BRANDON's 7g w/ white rims and a black car, it looks good.

I just purchased the Racinghart S15's in 18's for my 3000gtvr4...they look really good and are lightweight. I'm not sure the exact weight but they are pretty damn light..I'd say easily under 17lbs. Check em' out, they look nice if you like the multi-spoke look.

dude i dont wanna be seen, i dont like attention, yes i do agree white wheels on a black car looks very nice, but its not me.

heres my plan: if i get bronze wheels, ill get a nice bronze tint

for gunmetal, black, or maybe even silver wheels, ill just pop them on

oh yeah and also im painting the calipers black, with mitsubishi in red. but im getting 95 - 99 eclipse turbo calipers ( they fit but u gotta switch them around, example left is right and right is left) because our stock calipers only have 1 piston, and the eclipses calipers have 2 pistons. combine that with new brembo rotors, kevlar pads, and steel brake lines (if i can find some that fit, any idea where i can get these) and im good to go

and just to let u guys know im gonna be workin on a air cooling for our front brake disc, like ductig or something i dont know yet, i havent even started ill get right on it after Xmas ( any suggestions would be a help)

shit now i gotta find a way to match the caliper paint to the car, cause i painted the inside of my headlights and i also have black corners, and the paint in the lights looks gray on the car.

I have some Velox's. I'm not tripping that anyone else here has the same setup because if that was the case, I'd be tripping that there are 100's of Galants here like mine, too.

But I understand where you're coming from. Get something that you haven't seen before on a Galant but if you post a picture, don't be surprised when you start getting PM's and when someone bites your style. I know about light wheels and their benefits but I was curious to know what you're up to because the Galant is only so fast (or slow) and it doesn't really matter how much weight you trim off it, unless you're into drag racing and have NOS, a Turbo or a SC.

hey Lord
check this out, Im thinkin about these ......... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=1875408028 ('http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33748&item=1875408028') and thats 550 shipped to lower 48 states ........... hmmmmmmmmmmmm https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif

BTW, for rim color I LOVE gunmetal rims ......... but it depends on the color of a car

since yours is some kind of black ....... chrome will look good(but u dont like chrome)
then the next best thing is either BLACK rims(black opal from Konig) or WHITE rims ........... now if you have tint ..... depending on color ....... white rims might fall off
like if your tint is black and chrome ........ then white rims will be good
but if your tint is BLACK or smoked then I suggest BLACK Opal or just Black gunmetal rims
