so I searched the site and found great words about Silverstars here.....I searched the web and found one common complaint....there are claims they last less than a year.....anyone have this trouble with the Silverstars??

I just installed mine.....

Thanks!

my silverstars were awesome. they lasted me like 2 years. that includes a few front end collissions. the light output was slightly better than the factory bulbs.

i got mine when they first came out. the way things are now, and the low price of HID's, HID's are a better buy IMO.

Well, I have Silverstars on my turn signals. I don't know if that counts. But it's been going strong for three years now, no problem at all.

I have h3 silverstars in my high beams. I thought they were pretty good because so many people had them, but if you have HiDs for low beams (I have 6000k), silverstars aren't shit for headlight bulbs. If I turn on my high beams, I can't see for shit. But I guess I'm a special case. But I might try some of those hid simulated bulbs if they have a brighter output than the silverstars

For the price I thought the performance was subpar, I returned the bulbs.

Buy real HIDs, MUCH better performance.

I have silverstars in my daily driver, nothing to write home about, yup they light the road. Id prefer the HIDs that I have in my Galant.

Depends on what you like. 6000K is going to give you a white light (which I have) or the higher you go in the spectrum, like 8000 is more blue, 10000 really blue, and 12000 purple. Check around, every once in a while you can find companies on here that sell them. Just check out the FS forum and maybe go back a few months.

I don't have any halogen bulbs on the exterior of my car anymore... LED and HID really are superior. in fact HID is getting so cheap now, I may have HID reverse lights soon.

Im really shocked.
I installed hids on my wifes 8G and she cant stop talking about them. (yeah, still dealing with one shutting off on her) but she loves the way they look and brighten up.

I guess what Im trying to say is, save your money and get HIDs. This will eliminate all of the guess work.

Calipso (former member) worked for sylvania and they burn out quicker than stock. Head light bulbs, I mean.

Save the money and get hids, you wont regret it.
