Well.. today I went to the dealership to talk and negotiate things about this. So far things seemed to have went well... I just have to wait for Monday for them to do a credit check on me. I'm only 18 in December, what more do they want from me?! :( I tried to get a custom plate saying "KOMODO" but Quebec is gay and law doesn't allow us to have custom plates. -gay- Well.. if all goes fine then this car will officially be mines on Monday.

These pictures were taken by the dealership. If and once I get the car I'll try to take better shots.

Thanks for the support everyone! Just two days away and I can't wait. I'm hoping for the best.

To be honest I'm going to be going big. I've made a rough list of what I planned to do with the car and it's going to be a long long way to get those things completed but just looking at the car.. I know it'll be worth it! Already the sound of "Second known modified Galant in Quebec" sounds pleasing to my ears.... atleast I think it will be

Well... It's been a week and a lot of negotiation.
To make a long story short, they are overcharging me for the vehicle. It looks beautiful but it's just not worth the extra 4grand they are charging me.
They want a 60month term at a rate of 212.83 a month, when the sales rep said 201.xx(not a big problem)... The car is 8500(rounded up)... but after 60 months at the rate they want it's going to be just about 13grand. So I'm thinking "Screw that!". The interest rate is UNBELIEVEBLY high! They want a 12.36% interest rate and suposedly it will not change no matter how long the term I want it for. I sent my sales rep an email as a test for a 48 term and it only came out to 10grand at 228.79 a month. My financial advisor had no clue what she was talking about since she tried to back up my sales rep.. but even so my sales rep lied to me and my older sister infront of our faces saying we'd get no higher than 9% interest rate and that the scratches on the car can be buffered out. Turns out everything is false.. So now I'm going to go look for another Galant.. I found a silver one. It's stickerprice right now is 10grand.. I'll see what they want for it after the interest rates..
Now I have to wait till Monday or after to get my deposit back.

If you pay more than 212.83 or 228.79 a month, that's less interest you have to pay. If you can pay $300-350 a month, you're looking at less than 36 months. Try to get it down for less than 8000 total loan

Well, the financial advisor said that no matter what the interest rate stays at 12.36% which I find ridiculous because new vehicles don't even have interest rates that high. The highest I was quoted for was 5.6% on the Lancer GTS 2008 when it first came out in Canada.

I can see what you mean by trying to pay more monthly, on a shorter term, since I tested my sales rep through email asking for a 48 month term on a different email.

It's just the fact that the interest that they want me to pay is just as much as a new car. I might as well buy a new car if I'm buying the Galant at these rates. My sister bought an Acura CSX with 4.0% financing or less with sunroof/sound package and is paying less interest in total than I am. See the inbalance? It just doesn't make sense for me to be paying more monthly payments and interest on a used car than a new car.
