Hey... new here. I searched but didn't find a definitive answer.

I'm looking to hook my iPod to the factory headunit in my '02 ES (not Infinity). I have a Blitzsafe (http://www.blitzsafe.com/) (their site is useless, I ordered from Logjam (http://www.logjamelectronics.com/)) in my Civic, but it doesn't look like Blitzsafe (or PIE (http://www.pie.net/)) make an iPod OR Aux input for the 8G.

Anyone know if anything exists? If not I guess I'll go the FM route... this thing (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-H7coiJpBsAu/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?I=142FMMOD01) looks a hell of a better deal than the shit Belken/Kensington/whoever sells for $80.

you're gonna have to invest in an aftermarket unit to the functinality that you want. that topic is as old as the 8g is.

Thanks for the replies.

About it being an old topic... I figure something could've come out in the meantime since it was last discussed. Anyway, I'm trying to avoid the aftermarket since this car was given to me and it's not in spectacular shape, so I'm not planning on putting any money in to it.

I can do the same with the Scosche box.

I usually stick with the stock HU anyway, I am not much of an audiophile (actually, that's a lie, I'm just poor and I put money in to POWAAHHHH before sound).

...Unless someone wants to sell me an iPod ready HU for ~50. Any takers?

although the site looks like poop, I can assure its legit and they have the cheapest prices online. I just orded a Pioneer DEH-P5900IB for 155 when it retails as 220. Came in like 3 days or something, im sure you can find a dirt cheap HU that has an ipod connection.

Nope, nothing for the stock head unit. If you're messing around with an Ipod, you might as well get an aftermarket headunit. An Ipod sorta signifies that you're somewhat into music... might as well get the right hardware. Also, Ikesound.com is a good site, I've ordered from there before. Also check out ebay, you'll find some nice things audio wise for decent prices.
