I've been a member on that site for over a year, those prices are before shipping. To get the real price take the export size then get the price of shipping to the port of your choice, take the export size and multiply it by the price of the container to the port. Its alot more expensive than it looks.

Well i figured thats probably what it was going to end up being...really expensive. I just thought it would be cool to get a car form over there.

That is because there is NO law on the books that says your car must be left hand drive.

If anyone wants a Legnum VR4, I will be willing to sell mine for the right price...

There are quite a few Skylines in the States. I know that there is one in O'Fallon, Mo.

I have always wanted to buy a Legnum VR-4 and have even found some good website to get them from, but i cant ever find out if anything has to be done to the car for it to meet US Standards. Does anyone know?

I'm more than inclined to say yes but I don't know what all needs to be changed. I seem to recall that the AYC has to be disabled among a few other things. Your best bet for finding out would be to pm Mante since as far as I know he is the only person who has successfully imported a JDM galant so far. It might be hard to reach him though since he no longer posts on this board. Good luck.

I have tried, but nothing came from it. I thought that I had talked to him, but there was no real help. Nobody else has done this? How about you dsandy? You just said that you had one shipped. What are you going to have to do to it?

And a noob question, what is AYC?

Oh, and this is where I find all of the Legnums for a cheap price.

but there are a few skylines here in the states, and they have more power than a VR-4, if they are here legally, then i wouldn't think VR-4 wouldn't!!

You need to add Crashbars to the front and rear, Cat converter to the exhaust and a strength rated front windshield for it to pass.

2002ShadowDeamon
11-14-2007, 06:20 PM
Is that all?

Well thats not bad. You can get all of that from and 8g in a salvage yard.

laxinwarrior
11-14-2007, 08:56 PM
Except that the JDM 8g and the USDM 8g are completely different cars.

2002ShadowDeamon
11-14-2007, 09:39 PM
So the crash bars and the windshield would not fit?

laxinwarrior
11-14-2007, 10:19 PM
I don't know that for a fact but you might want to find out for sure ahead of time instead of assuming that they will. Either way the USDM crashbar shouldn't be too hard to modify to fit on the JDM 8g since it works with the JDM bumpers once it's cut down. The windshield is a different story, it might be exactly the same and drop right in but I don't think anyone has ever tried it before.

I think it would be cheaper to buy a G from EU (Not Norway, to expensive) then u can get it with Left Hand Drive ;) And its almost the same as a Japanese car

Have you seen any VR-4's that were converted to left hand drive over in Europe?

ShiZnitH
11-15-2007, 04:17 PM
Thats the problem, only the VR-4 we dont have :( But if u use a wrecked Galant "Sport" interior like mine u can use that and convert the VR-4 to LHD ;) Its much work but well wort it :)

DNSerrano
11-15-2007, 10:29 PM
Yes I see. I have always liked the European/Japanese interiors of the Galants...too bad they had to water it down in the US

djflex167

sounds interesting, so there is no VR-4 with left hand drive? because then a conversion would be ideal here!!

Whats the story with dsandy? He is not answering my PMs or anything? If he really has a car coming from Japan, then why will he not help me out buy giving me some information?
