took me 31/2 to paint, took me about 4 to 41/2 all together. Took me like a day an a half the first time! Just wondering, how would ya'll color sections of the seat? I have leather. And, i'm thinking about painting the carpet black too. Any suggestions would be great!

for the carpet I wouldn't paint or dye it as it would fade and spray paint is probably not safe to breath in all the time. So i would just buy that custom fit carpet and put that it. Someone posted a link to a company that makes it specifically for the galant but i don't remember where it is and don't feel like searchin right now

I was thinking that.. since my buddy had one too. His was pretty nice and was brand new. Don't really know how they work.. but he said the way his works was that it only sets off an alarm when a cop/truck is sending out scanning signals--which makes his detector 'undetectable'. Do all of them work that way?

Unfortunetely he got his confiscated by the cops and a fine of 300. Sad considering he bought it exactly a month before it off a friend for 250..

their legal in arkansas, they all work the same way, anything sending out a signal (cops/trucks/alarms on stores/other radar detector)will set it off.

Did you sand or prime anything before you painted it, or just painted right away?

One quick question... ive just got finished painting my trim charcoal grey, and i was just wondering how you painted the air vents on the dash... did you just cover everything up and paint, or is there a way to take them off?

BTW, nice job w/your interior :)

12-04-2007, 06:19 PM
Yeah man, there's clips on the top and the bottoms of the vents, take of the side covers to get to em with a small screwdriver, you gotta take off the radio bezel and drop the radio down to get to the vents with the hazard's switch in there.
