Im lookin for and H.I.D. kit but i cant find a kit that has high and low beam. i always only find one or the other. Do i need the H4's? One of my team mates has a civic Si and he has high and low beam H.I.D.'s on one bulb and he said they were h4's.

Most h4 kits I believe have the option of having one bulb that has a HID low beam and halogen high beam. There's also a bi-xenon HID kit that operates low and high beam. If you're running a stock housing, get 4300k or 6000k at the highest so you won't be harrassed by the cops, some 8000k kits or higher are too blue. Search around on ebay for a few kits.

It really depends on the brand I guess. 4300k and 6000k has the highest... lumens, I believe it's called, so they'll light up the road a little bit better

yea my team mate has 8k on his and he has been pulled over 4 times in 5 weeks because his lights are too blue. I found one kit that is 6k and has high and low beam, the bi-xenon but it costs an extra $140 for those. im kinda iffy about the site. Does 6k h4 bi-xenon kit for $369 sound right to u?

QnzMostWanted
11-14-2007, 12:34 PM
369 for HIDs is a bit pricey, i paid $110 for my set but they arent bi-xenon

Divinity
11-14-2007, 12:36 PM
I think high beam HIDs are a little pointless IMO. I say just get the low beam HID and high beam Halogen. I have 6000k HIDs for low beams and I really don't even need to use my high beams which are halogen.

galantofva
11-14-2007, 12:39 PM
yea but u have projectors and two seperate bulb housings. i have stock headlights with one bulb housing. Although i am trying to get angel eye projectors like what u have.

Divinity
11-14-2007, 12:43 PM
If it's aimed right, you'll be okay with the stock housing. I mean.. HIDs aren't really made for it, but you'll see 10x the improvement anyway with them. Your halogen high beams will be fine. I really don't think you'll use them as often with the HIDs

hold on im confused, i can have H.I.D. low beam and halogen high beam on the same bulb? not two different bulbs?

Divinity

Yeah you can have it like that, it's called the h4-2, look at the diagram on that link

Yeah 8000k would be too blue. The 6000k is just right, it's pure white with a very small hint of blue. I even have a blue purple cutoff line on my projectors from them, it's pretty sweet. Oh yeah, I have the same brand of HIDs I posted in those ebay links

If you want HIDs you should contact Jesus from Miami Redline Motorsports, he is a TGC Member and can provide probably the best customer service to boot.

Infact here is his selling thread from our vendor forum.

The kelvin bulb temperature is ALWAYS the same. The wattage may vary.

i've noticed that it depends of where u buy them, because the 8000k is not to blue like some people think, 10,000K and up it will be to blue, i have 8K on my galant and its legal and bright!! even though i want to try the 6000K to see how they perform at night lol!!

i am i proud owner of 6000k but am taking the change to 4100k - 4300k cause i'll be retrofitting some TSX projectors in. member keep in mind that the higher the kelvin rating, the less lumens you will have on the road.

djflex167
11-15-2007, 11:09 PM
so how 6000K performs on the road? is it better that 8000k speciall at night when raining?

BGR
11-15-2007, 11:17 PM
6000K looks great. All the road signs and lines on the road light up really bright. As for the rain, it's comparable to those hyperwhites.

8K, you get used to it when it rains.

I just picked up a set of 4300K Bi Xenon HIDs yesterday and I am loving them. I lke them much more than my old 6000K HIDs. I paid $200 for the bi-xenons, but the guy had low beams for $180. I know people sale the low beams for much less, but the bi-xenons for $200 was fine with me.

Where do you live to get pulled over for HID's. I've seen cars here in NY with 12K rose pink headlights & they drive right past 50 with no problems.

based on his name i'd say VA or virginia. in certain parts of VA, which isn't a state, keep in mind, have car natzi's that are almost as bad as the ones in cali.

i say almost because in virginia cops can't pull you over for your exhaust. they need to find another reason to pull you over, like tints or speeding before they can give you a ticket for your exhaust.

and if you do get pulled over and they decide to impound your car because of the mods you have, you have until the tow truck comes to fix your car. if you can fix it before that, i believe they'll let you go.

Some of you guys know me as I sell HID kits here on TGC. I sell regular HID kits for $170.00 shipped to your door any bulb size and/or kelvin temp.

I have spoken to my supplier and they has obtained a large amount of Telescopic Bi-Xenon HID kits. These HID kits are not like the other ones I sell that have an HID low beam and a halogen high beam. These are a single unit HI/LOW hid kit which the bulb itself moves up and down to create the high and low beam. These are used in many high end model vehicles.

http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f234/Jesjardon/MRMotorsportsbulbtelescopic.jpg

I am selling these Telescopic Bi-Xenon HID kit for $200.00 shipped to your door. These HID kits normally go for $300.00 or more and that does not even include the shipping. My kits are always sold with no shipping cost as the shipping cost is on me. These HID kits will have a 2 year no questions asked money back guarantee and/or 100% replacement. I can get them in H4, 9004, 9007, and H13 bulb sizes and 4300K, 6000K, 8000K, 10000K and 12000K Kelvin Temps.

If you have any questions or concerns you may contact me via PM here on TGC.
