dash illumination

My dash is not being illuminated (can'ts see the speedometer, engine temp, rmps etc at night) anymore... after changing the heater core and disconnecting and reconnecting a lot of wires.

The check engine, etc ligh up though.
Also the headlights remain on after locking the car...

Help is much appreciated!

Make sure that you re-connect the dimmer switch on the left side of the Speedometer bezel.

Yeah it could be the dimmer switch, or it could be a fuse.

i'll try that...
also when the beams are off everything lights up... but the dimmer switch won't work...

as far as i remember I connected two things to the back of the speedometer bezel. I guess I forgot about the third wire... which would be the dimmer...

i had mines like that b4 and all i did was to remove the gauges and replace new bulbs and it worked!!
