What has to be done for you guys to make a rear window spoiler? How many people do we need and what about prices?

Your going to need atleast 10 people. And if someone has one they would like to lend them then they need to send it to make a mold. otherwise someone is going to have to take their Car up TO Norcal to get the measurements done. I asked them about doing the same thing with Fender Flares. just try and get together 10 people and someone to donate the acr for the time to make and you should be set. but I don't know how busy they are right now. they are doing alot or work now as it is.

thanks danj. that rear visor looks hella sweet. its inspiring me to go out to the garage with a piece of carboard and make a cardboard mock up of a rear window visor just to see how it looks on my car.

No, I didn't make it. I did a group buy a while back for these visors. They weren't cheap since they came from Ecarboy in Hong Kong. Myself and 4 others got them in the group buy. Reelax, T-O-P, 2kgalantes, and BIGMONEYDAY were the other 4. I believe another member or two have them as well, but got them pretty cheap since they bought them while they were in Asia. The thing is, the company that makes the visors is an Australian company called EGR. Unfortunately they don't sell them in the U.S., but maybe you can try and contact them.

Pinoy got good news. EGR is a worldwide company. they have affiliates in cali. I emailed them to see if they have it in thier product line and seeing if they can get some or make some...stay tuned

Hey guys sorry for the absence lately. I've been so busy lately.

Plus I'm having problems with my Norcal email account, for some reason tis not working.. I cant figure it out.

Now for the spoiler, its definately some thing we can do. Like others said we need 10 confirmed buyers and it helps to have a car to work off of. Maybe we can get measurements off of Jasons car since I know he's in the area. Or Brandon since he's really close.

As for cost, I'm not sure, we wouldnt have a good idea until we actually get in there and see what is involved and materials etc.

But its definately something we'll look into.

We paid $230 shipped from Hong Kong. I think the member or two that bought them while in Asia paid well under $100 for it.

OK called EGR themselves in the US. 800 757-7075. They do not have the sun visor as they call it in the US. He said probably in Japan but I don't speak Japanese :roll:
The price is about $100 for the visor according to a website. There is NO WAY I'm going to pay anywhere NEAR $230 for one. I also read a post where someone paid like $40 in Hong Kong for one.

Jason or Brandon, who Norcal mentions, can you guys stop by them so they could get some measurements??? I would assume that whoever stops by would get it cheaper if we are to do the purchase. I would need some prices from Norcal after you guys stop by. Thanks_Doug

yea its not the actualy product that costs alot, its the shipping. uhm the box for this has to be kinda big so that it doesn't break during shipping and the visor itself is big. so thats gonna add shipping. another thing u gotta remember is that ur gonna have to pay duties or taxes to import this bad boy in since its being declared as new. if u declare it used, that means no official receipt and i know u guys hate that. uhm asia is also on the other side of the world. the cheapest way to ship it is by boat but then most of u guys won't wait about 2 months for this bad boy so u guys pay so much the get it air shipped in.

I got ahold of Jaspen about this and he doesn't have any and its not that easy to get. He said he is trying and that he'll let me know and a couple others that have e-mailed him when he gets some. I would like to have one made simply because of cost...10 people isn't that many if its going to be around $50 or something compared to over $200. its a no-brainer.[/quote]

whenever there are questions about this, i have to give DANJ props for the hook up. we were both talking to another source somewhere in the middle east but that fell through so when DANJ told me he could get these from hong kong (jaspen) i jumped on it! we got them for more than $150.00 if i remember but i was willing to pay more than that!

btw, they are attached w/ super sticky double sided tape to the leading edge and to a bracket on either side that sticks to the window then clips into the visor at the side edges (if u look close you can see the heads of the clips).
