I just picked up some 8 inch subs from E.D. I couldn't pass it them up they were on clearence for $5. Now I don't know what to do with them..lol
I already have a 12 in the trunk. So I wanted to use these as a midbass.
Anybody have suggestions for mounting them inside the car?

you could cut out the hold slightly larger in either the front or rear doors and mount it there... probroblly depending on depth or in the rear deck where the 6x9's are

theres a opening in your rear doors you could use. the only thing is that you would have to cut a hole in the door panel

Put them under your seat, if they will fit.

Here is the link for the 12inch. They sold out the 8 inch already. http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/index.php?cPath=92

Also check out thier sound sound deadening. I used it to replace the insulation under driver side that got damaged by water. Good product and cost less then other brands. You can also layer it and you don't have to use a heat gun.

ehh im gud with the 10" kicker i got ($70), its nice that people dont believe i have 1 10 lol,(the lil sucker has the rear view mirror and the mirror on the driver door dancing like 1 of those haiwan girl things u c on da dashboards) imma stick with that till i get a newer car and then go with 2 10" alphasoniks and a alphasonik amp, mayb something in the 1600w rms range, (not gonna have it turned up dat much, just want the power there just in case i need in) :D

Have you thought about how you will place the 8" sub in its proper frequency range (i.e. crossovers)....just a thought

I agree! JL is the ish! and so is memphis! a buddy of mine has RF Punch P2's in his RSX and they sound good, but i am completely content with my 2 12" Alpine type-R's, which will soon be JL W7's!

Ya I got 3 Jl12 w3v2's and the XR component set. So I love JL and as long as I have the money I will never go w/ anything else. As far as Rockford amps being bad I don't know about the newer ones but the older ones like the Bd1000 and 1001 are damn good. They were very underrated and are solid and durable. I've had mine for about 4 years now pushing the full power load w/ zero problems.

The 8 " sub you could put in the rear deck or in between the armrest and the backseat that would be cool if you did a custom plexiglass or fiberglass setup. Under the seats would work too but I think you should have one under each front seat.
