hi everyone, i just bought a new stock headunit... the only problem is i have a gts which has an infinity system... and this one is not...

my question is now, i just installed it i, i completely forgot they are not compatible, how can i plug this in and make it work??? i just finished installing it and their is no sound at all, and also noticed their is an extra plug, that was used on my original system (infinity system) please help thanks

ohhh the reason i changed was because i actually liked the bezel and it could play mp3s rather then my non mp3 6 cd changer......

That extra cable is for the infinity amp, and as long as your amp is disconnected you dont have sound. Only solution is to bypass the amp.

x2 and im not sure of the 9g but the 8g gtz infinity system has more speakers then the standard to they will not work your better off just getting the infinity one and reselling that one imho or to go with an aftermarket hu that can wire into the factory amp

there has to be an adapter or adapter box to go between the non-infiniti output to the infiniti amp. i know there is a part available to mate the 8g infiniti system to an aftermarket HU.

edit: found the info... search for MITAH adapter

here is one:

actually this is another one that is supposed to be better:

if anything ill just keep the bezel, i always wanted the black and woulda cost me the same if i just bought the bezel by itself... ill probably throw it back up on ebay and keep the 6 cd changer and the new faceplate if it gets too complicated...

thanks reelax, ill try to read up more on the adapter

The Mitah adapter works perfectly. I'm on my second HU and used the adapter on both. Yes, you can bypass the amplifier, but then you need the wiring diagram to get the pinout for the amplifier in order to connect your speakers properly. Besides, why would you want to bypass a 200 watt amplifier thats in working order?

Here's another link to the MITAH adapter
