Steering Wheel

Would anyone happen to know what size steering wheel we would need if we were to swap it with say a MOMO? I am talking about the column part not the overall diameter of the wheel.....

i'd contact momo and the other sterring wheel manufacturers directly for a install kit. i know chris at GDI had one in his car. but now talking more seriously, you can get in big trouble for removing that airbag. get in trouble my the feds and possibly lose ur insurance coverage by doing so. so just keep that in mind

OH for real?? I really didn't know that.....What about older cars that didn't come with airbags???

it is a federal crime to remove any safety equipment from a vehicle if it came that way from the factory. That is why the VIN plate has AIRBAG written on it. Under some statutes you can file for an exempt status, but this makes your car no longer street legal.

I have heard rumors that with a 4 point harness you can file for airbag exempt status, but I am not sure.

the guys at the lancer forums were tryna do this before. actually i was tryna do it before too. uhm MOMO USA can't get a hold of the steering wheels but if u find an overseas dealer that would be kool. don't know of any modifiations you'd have to do but i remember the evo wheel was about 800+ dollars

chances are your car won't be in driveable condition. especially since the passenger side airbag would have made a nice dent in the windshield
