This is a little hard to explain, so I will type very slowly

Since the winter hit I have noticed something a bit odd. It is not of high concern but it is odd none the less.

My car used to run about 70mph at 3k rpm. That was in the summer that just passed and from what I have gathered through friends here on the site, very normal.

Since winter hit now, when I'm at 70mph the tach is about 3.3K to 3.6K constant... even on cruise control.

Is this something I should go have looked at? My buddy said that it is most likely my torque converter not engaging. WTF would it not enagage?
I know shit about A/T but I do check my fluid once a week and keep it right on the dot ( yes, MITSU fluid manybrews https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif ). I have no other symptoms that my tranny is bad... I just got the damn thing 15,000 miles ago!

Thanks

Wes

the torque converter clutch wont apply until the trans temp hits about 160 degrees. that may never happen if its cold, and you only drive small distances.

its nothing to be worried about.

Thanks man, I was hoping that you would answer this post and ease my mind. I am such a worry wart when it comes to the tranny...
