alright, so im prolly going to take my post down for selling my rims since im not trying to rip off any of the fellow TGC members, and theres not any interest in them anyways. i was hoping to find someone that knew how to weld that could make some money off them, anyways heres my new question

is there any where that will take old rims and fix/resell them? and if so where could i find such a place to sell my rims to? im going to keep the tires unless someone has an offer for them and just buy new rims. but i dont just want to junk the rims at a junk yard. any information would be greatly appreciated

-thanks

Any machine shop can fix them.

Just search for wheel repair on Google Maps near your location... we've got like 5 of these kinds of shops in Salt Lake that can do aluminum wheel repair.

if you belong to a local car forum, you might want to ask there.

the yellow pages is another option to see whats close to you.

another step beyond that once you found a potential place is to google it up and see if others have posted reviews about that place and their experience.

I think it might be cheaper to buy a new set of wheels though.

^^ He's very right. A full reweld/repaint of a single wheel will be well over $100, probably more like $150-200. Definitely look into prices.

i know hes rite, i want a new set, but i cant aford unless i sell my currant rims altho one is cracked and i need to sell the tires, the tires alone i can hopefully get $400 back, but at this rate if i only sell the set for $400 and get a new set then ill be spending more then just paying the $200 to fix it
